QUOTE(kissella @ Nov 4 2019, 05:41 PM) Woaa I never knew that's how company see SL1M/Protege trainee. I thought it able to increase employability I actually don't mind to consider a SL1M candidate but I'd like to ask him what has he achieved after six months of training. If no achievement, there is nothing to talk about. In fact I've actually interviewed these types before. All I can say is I'm not impressed. |

To me, not necessarily.
A candidate without experience is like a blank piece of paper, untested and unknown. To me this is worse than a SL1M graduate. At least a SL1M graduate has undergone at least 6 months of work training. His performance is for all to see and judge. On the other hand, fresh graduates are totally untested in real work. Many run away at the first and slightest obstacle and challenge. Coupled with high ego, hiring a fresh grad is a risky affair. |

QUOTE(kissella @ Nov 5 2019, 11:32 AM) Thank you Sir for your insights. I am actually considering to accept a 12months Protege program (Previously SL1M) offer by a company with industry within my degree field. I've been unable to secure a job related to my study since I graduated in March this year. Entering into depressed and desperate phase, I just thought that it's a good offer You're welcome sir. May I know what are you qualified in? Perhaps I can help. |
