I going to buy a Monitor, this gonna be my first monitor so I plan to get a monitor that could output Above Average Visual Experience.

Main Requirements:
- 2K WQHD (2560 x 1440 Resolution)
- Refresh Rate between 75Hz to 144Hz
- 27 Inch Size or Above
- NO Pixelated issue please

The purpose of the monitor is to:
- Connect to my ROG Strix Scar 2, i7-8750H + RTX2070 Laptop (with Mini Display Port) to play High Graphic Game (eg. Monster Hunter World) in 2K Resolution
- Connect my Nintendo Switch (with HDMI Port) to play Legend of Zelda (only able output 900P from Switch by Default) in 900P Resolution or other Games in 1080P Resolution.

My Budget is RM1300 (around USD 310), willing to pay more if the monitor really fulfill the purpose the best.

The Monitor I interested so far is
- ACER ED323QURA 32" Curve 2K WQHD

- ACER Nitro VG271UP 27" WQHD
> https://www.lazada.com.my/products/acer-nit...Q7ECU0&search=1

- SAMSUNG 27" Curved Gaming Monitor CJG50 WQHD 144Hz LC27JG50QQEXXM
> https://www.lazada.com.my/products/samsung-...15SEqg&search=1

My Concerns:
- If I try to let the 27 or 32 Inch 2K Monitor to display 900P/1080P Resolution (for Nintendo Switch Game), will the Visual Quality decrease which cause visual Blurry/Pixalation/etc?

Please do recommend me any Monitor that fit my Scenario and Use case the Best, thank you.

thanks, however i always using high end earphone though, built-in speaker wouldn't be my concern,

the monitor for switch seem to be all in 1080p, switch will look bad in 2k monitor compare to 1080p huh?

Pixelation and resolution will always go hand in hand - I can't really vouch for Switch games on 1440p (note that 2K resolution is actually a wider version of 1080p, as defined in DCI), but here's how Witcher 3 looks like on docked mode:

look great in a 4k tv, technically would it look even greater in 2k monitor?

Depends on the monitor quality itself obviously icon_idea.gif

If you don't play any games competitively you should consider VA - VA panels have good colors and contrast, and they have decent refresh rates too (which makes it nice for content consumption) tongue.gif

From your requirement, I can suggest these monitors ( but its slightly above your budget )

ASUS VG27AQ ~ RM1700+ - 1440p, flat 27', IPS panel, 165Hz Gsync Comp.

ASUS VG27BQ ~ RM1500+ - 1440p, flat 27', TN panel, 165Hz Gsync Comp.

LG 27GL850 RM1800+ - 1440p, flat 27', IPS panel, 144Hz Gsync Comp.

The LG one is most recommended due to its wide color gamut, 10bit capable. and pretty fast response time.

Not really, it'll probably look blurry due to Switch games textures or blury anti-aliasing used, for me it is fine.

Bought ACER Nitro VG271UP 27" WQHD yesterday in RM1330.

Turn Out the monitor is very very Good in my opinion, the visual is quite nice,

Nintendo Switch Legend of Zelda in 900p look very good on it, not to forgt, Monster Hunter World Iceborne in 2K resolution look very details and superb!

the only thing i havent try out is the G Sync in this monitor, going to buy DP to Mini DP port to try it out soon!
