the only one worth investing is probably mcd and maybe tealive only...

and that also take many years later only can get clean profit

What factors did you consider from Tealive?

From the photo about there are two data point missing on Tealive. I'm curious how you arrive to that decision ... initial fee?

popularity and drink prices for starters..

cause its still cheaper compared to its main competitors
*
I am also curious myself how Tealive can tank this next 1/2 years ahead..

Surely at some point, their profits will be affected considering the amount of bubble tea popping up everywhere in Malaysia providing alternative types of dessert + drinks + style (franchise outlook)..

I personally don't think TL can sustained. Its merely a hype thingy. Same goes to all the bubblebutt bubble tea company.

When something new viral, its going to go down and close shop.

Example - what is the previous viral thingy? That's right. No one remember.

Remember the burger hype? Especially the charcoal burger

Burgerlab is still doing well.. i guess those that started first are usually the surviving one, the rest slowly died

Tealive, or chatime presence is almost 10 years old in malaysia.

Way before previous viral thingy like hokaido cheese tart, or maybe even longer than burger bakar thing. I remember burger bakar hype circa 2011 - 2013.

At this point, tealive / chatime is slowly becoming necessity like kfc, mcd, starbuck etc.

So i guess they can survive.

TL first wave, also they probably have enough cash flow to tank for years ahead, but 2018/19 probably isn't a major year for them since the competitors are everywhere atm.

Also this TL companies have many different F&B belt under them to penetrate different market. I just don't think one should open more TL shops because the owner himself can tank open until 100+ shops himself..

I remember reading about TL in Bloomberg... want to go IPO with valuation of RM300mil ..

I still believe Tealive can make it
Because it has HALAL certified
HALAL is big thing in Malaysia apparently
Look at how many moslems queue in Tealive.

This one good reassurance only.

There's Malay who opens bubble tea or bingsu shop, hire Malay employees and it works out well for them too..

Those korean brands out there..

True, and it works.

Halal now becoming more to marketing branding rather than what it suppose to be.

Mindset nowadays : halal = food.
*
Similar to how business obtain ISO for their image rather than actualizing it in real world practices.

Also, sometimes you want to beat the Halal and not apply, just create an illusion by hiring Malay workers.

Valuation alone is not enough. Sustainability is the major factor.

Example : Candy crush @ https://www.businessinsider.com/candy-crush...ine-2014-2?IR=T

Hehe my valuation there is termed as a joke considering how unicorns are talking 1bil valuation easily these days.. not even sure how true.

Sustainability - WeWork huhu... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/201...at-saudi-summit
