Hi guys, need some recommendations on which one to get. I have a 2003 E46 sedan. Won't be using the actual unit much, would just play music from my phone via Bluetooth. Prefer to have decent sound quality, can control from steering wheel, will install reverse camera, and most importantly, can survive heat as the car is parked under the sun.

I'm not sure which brand or model to go for. Kenwood with JVC rear camera combo seems to be the easiest for a noob buyer like me.

Such as this combo, coming from their official Shopee store:

I have seen some ranking lists also suggesting Eonon. On their Shopee site, they have a lot of different models with similar specs, I'm not sure which one to go for for my needs. They even have some models that specifically state that they are for E46s. I'm probably hella stupid, but it's not worth the price premium compared to their standard models right? Or it's because they will come with proper casings for E46? Will get their reverse camera as well if I were to go for their head unit.

Here's the link to their official Shopee page:

Any other suggestions with better quality or price points? Or I can get separate branded head units with JVC's reverse camera?

Thanks for any feedback or help.

Kenwood is a good brand, i dont see the spec listed on the site. is it android?

The second model you have listed is 2GB RAM, its over priced for that spec.

Anyways, if you are changing the player to have multiple app to be used, then get the one with 4GB RAM.

Take a look at the previous post, if it meets your requirement..search along that line

I think Kenwood is using their own software. Even their own site does not mention anything about android.

Alright, will take a look at Issotta. Their pricing seems affordable. In a dilemma to pick between this or Kenwood now. Kenwood because it will last(reliable?) while Issotta is cheap for its functions.

Yup thats the standard OEM...similar to the one I have, although some local company put a brand on it. Mine is called Convex. But i bought 4 years ago. Then it was very expensive, almost 2k!  cry.gif

Currently price had dropped alot...my random check showed for less than rm400...do check it out. It will be good if they installation as well.
Mine I have connected to 360 camera and recorder as well. Mine was older model so it comes with 4USB. I think newer model only has 2 USB.

Hope that helps...All the best bro

The shop that you linked, they quoted me for the following:

RM700, built-In DSP, 48 EQ, Android 10, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM.
RM250, can bus, casing, plug and play socket.
RM60, installation.
RM38-RM150, reverse camera.

I think the following link is most likely the product:
https://shopee.com.my/ISSOTTA-9-10.1-IPS-AN...5527.6420848163

They mentioned that the can bus is for connecting the player to my steering wheel. Is this true?

Based on this price point, would getting the Kenwood + Rear Camera combo be better since it's cheaper? Or will I need to add on to this cost for the can bus as well?

Thanks for the feedback again.

What car you going to install.. If your current car have steering button you just need a set of wiring adapter to match your factory HU socket and with this you can PnP only without cutting any wire.. I will go for Kenwood for 3 camera support coz doesn't need to add switcher to change camera..
Can check here which type your factory HU socket type..

2003 E46. Sorry for the really stupid question but what is the 3 camera support for?

Do I need to get a new can bus to wire it to the steering wheel as mentioned by the shop?
