The unisoc in teyes cc3 is kinda ancient now, wonder when will they move to the new unisoc 7 series with newer android version and perhaps a 90hz screen haha.

got. a overclock version code 7862c. A75 is clocked from 1.8 to 2.0ghz. I'm using it now. In all honestly, not much difference as the older 7862 is already powerful enough. the new 7862c was made to muscle the new 2k screen which requires added power.

For those whom wonder how the 2k Android screen stackup you can watch the review video below. What's impressive is the new screen. sharp, best viewing angle, and colour contrast as good as IPS and bright as qled. Maybe the new generation screen panel is running on mini led?

is Eonon reliable? is it comparable to other HU brands such as Pioneer or JVC? thinking of getting one (haven't decided whether should get android or their own OS) but can't find much reviews.
can anyone share their own experience/review with Eonon please? tq!

very old brand. I'd used them back in 2003? back then they were famous with MP4 player with build in TV receiver. quality expected china, cheap Charlie. But affordable lah back then. Then they went silent when Android players started appearing in the market. last year I saw them heavily marketing their android player. not sure how's the quality. since it is still new.

We don't have that much of a large market, unless people in SEA + UK work together to get it in bulk to keep the cost really down

FWIW, all Chinese made Android Head Unit are just rebadged from one design, with their own custom skin.
And IIRC Pioneer and JVC don't really use android for theirs. They have their own custom OS and relies on Android Auto/Carplay.

TL:DR, Chinese Android head unit: all the same quality
Reputable brand: higher quality, but don't use Android for OS and cost more

Hi all, just wondering is it easy to install the Android HU ourself? I already have an Android HU installed for 3 years and feels laggy, thinking of buying better one and just unplug the old one then connect to new HU...Do the cables and port the same?

It's a Honda, actually i already managed to take out whole casing with old HU, just need to do some surveys before buying from Shopee.

So i guess i could just replace new HU myself?

A quick question, using Iriz standard 2022 and planning to change 7862 player because I wanted to include reverse cam. And with that, adding wires for reverse cam will void warranty or that only applies in cutting wires?

Hi, got some questions to ask on HU:

1) Im planning to get a 7862 with teyes ui mod, 3+32 GB, is the specs sufficient for me to just use it for Google Maps/Waze with Spotify and 360 camera?

2) Im planning to get teyes mod as Im checking on their youtube and it seems nice. Is teyes mod a must for the "ui upgrade" or should i stick with the original UI or go for apps like VIVID launcher etc.

3)Im checking on taobao as well and found out there are 7862 listings with the same specs (without teyes mod and 360 camera) are selling for around RM 400+, anyone had experience on this?

4)Is installing a a new mod on a HU safe to do? or is it as same as formatting an android phone with custom ROM etc.
