As long as it is an upgrade there should be no problem. Your windows license will be renewed automatically. Also as long as you have purchased a license, microsoft should know that and allow you to activate windows with the license key that you already have. If they ask you to get the actuvation key by purchasing windows then you will have to do so unless you are willing to go aroiund the activation key.
