Anyone here in touch with person working with Wahed before? Like a personal phone number or email address. Sick & tired of their Customer Support team ignoring my emails on follow up to give me back a refund of RM2.5K they fcked up during deposit taking. More than 1 month hold my money no sense of urgency. I've reported to the SC also for good measure, any other way to be heard?

anyway, how is the status of your report to SC?
how long already has your report submitted your report? any response from SC too?

for a RM2.5k money....I would do the "Correspondence and Walk-In"; step....since now the MCO is "over" or partially lifted

SC complaint lodged yesterday as per my ultimatum to them that 6:00PM was their last chance to make amends. I was willing to let everything go if they just called me to explain. I work in Financial Services, come on I know all the red tape behind. BUT it doesn't give you an excuse to leave your customer hanging to follow-up for an answer. I am considering doing a walk-in. My line of work has seen an angry customer just walk into an office with a registration for meeting but came to yell at the entire office. Super embarrassing for both parties, but it got the job done.
*
when did they response to you as per the 2 images you posted ...
they responded that they will refund you....(your bank that you made the transaction...)
have you check with that bank?

if they replied to you just yesterday,...(i don't expect to get it just 2 days)....for I guess they will still need approval for the transfer to "return" the money to that bank.

I had sent the entire chronology to SC. These were replied to me on May 21st & 22nd respectively; I had already completed the form in between. If I had not, the May 22nd reply would have addressed it. You can count the number of WDs there already involved easily exceeded what they promised as a turn around time.
*
have you confirmed that the money is in that bank?
just incase ....they already refunded and when SC asked them....

Do you guys notice that Wahed is still invest heavily on Malaysia market?

I am in Aggressive portfolio, HLAL is account 0.98-1.35 of our money while the rest is in Malaysia ETF , bond and cash.

Just wonder whether Wahed able to give us good return in long run? Are they thinking Malaysia still perform better than US market?

very huat, if there is a strong reversal of this......
had been going on consecutively since 24 weeks ago....

Thanks.

I just recall that I put 1k few months back, now growing nicely. Not sure should I put more let say 100k since the return and flexibility is better than ASB.

Just ensure that you had selected the risk index that is true to Yr risk appetite n risk capacity...
For there are postings in March indicating some investors had second thought abt investing with their selected risk index

Sifus.

Wshed Invests is for short term or long term?
*
i guess it depends on your goal and your selection of portfolio type to suit your risk & preferences to try to meet your investment goal....

for according to this

Setting short term and long term saving goals

Short term goals are within 6-12 months with the goal to save for an emergency. Ideally, this should include a minimum of 3 month’s living expenses along with some miscellaneous expenses that are accounted for.

Long-term saving goals are between 1-5 years and could be saving money for a wedding, vehicle, education, down-payment for a house etc.

If you are dreaming of an early retirement, then your savings should begin in the early 20s.

It’s time you start viewing your money differently. It’s time you start thinking of financial health.

Sorry if this is a stupid question; Is it best for us to add into our fund when the graph is at a high or when it is at a low?
*
It is always good to buy at low....
But must also see...
if the low is really low compared to funds of similar mandate...or all funds of similar mandates are also low...
If the low was due to distribution or unit split...
If the low was due to "bad" stock picks..
If when during the low... Do you still have the guts to buy or do you still want to wait...
Or while you wait for the low to come... Where do you want to put Yr existing $$$?

Hey guys, I'm currently thinking of putting some money into this Wahed investment. I'm wondering if there is anything that I should watch out for?

Is aggressive portfolio any good? or should I go for more conservative one? biggrin.gif

and no I have no prior experience in investment, so I had no idea what should I look for but yeah I do understand the risk involve.
*
have you filled up your emergency fund?

are you NOT going to touch this invested money in the next few years?

To be honest I'm not sure how to  really measure how much is to say I've filled up. but yeah I sure have.. and actually I'm planning to spare about 30% of my monthly saving into this..

just say that this is like my 2nd piggy bank that I hope can grow by itself. 😋
*
on your question on
"Is aggressive portfolio any good? or should I go for more conservative one?"

and with your reply like this
"this is like my 2nd piggy bank that I hope can grow by itself."

then i think for me, i would prefer to have a "conservative rather than aggressive portfolio"

with my current commitment, 3 comfortably and probably can stretch up to 4 month.
I see, what should I do if I want to go for aggressive portfolio? Buy/sell only at appropriate timing?
*
what should you do if you want to go for aggressive portfolio?....
my guess i think you can select/opt for it during a/c opening.

Buy/sell only at appropriate timing?
sure, if you know when the appropriate timing is to be. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Guys how's performance of wahed compared with stashaway?

I have all in my stahsaway atm, but not sure if I should allocate some into wahed
*
hmm.gif i guess depends on the portfolio's compositions,
if WAHED has alot less than SA in allocation in CHINA or GLD,...and heavier into S&P500 etfs than SA; for the past 6 months, then i am sure WAHED would be thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I see, in that case, @Jitty, I've put the same amount of money for the same amount of time into a StashAway portfolio with "10% risk index" and a Wahed portfilio with "Moderately Agressive" position, I don't see big difference in them thus far, perhaps Wahed's one is slightly more volatile, which is somewhat expected because a 10% risk index is somewhat conservative for StashAway.
*
Jitty, I think that is specifically for you.
