YouTube has been around for quite some time now.
I am just wondering whether anyone from /k has any YT channel(s)?
If you guys know anyone who does, feel free to tag them here please

Can't sleep past few days thinking about this.
Researched quite a lot about YT
of all, keyword = consistency
Especially when you know not much watching.
need to snowball it

I noticed my anak buah also play this.
But frankly, idk if one can fulltime doing this and get paid?

I will share when I start,
my target this week is to start creating channel and publish one vid
This alone is a big target, at least for first timer

Need to find one niche that targets whole world.
one thing for sure though, English must the medium.

This is a living legend!
I love guitar covers so so much, so I have followed his channel.
Unfortunately, he only does fingerstyles - which is super hard imo
Grow like mushroom probably due to Bohemian Rhapsody movie last year.

Yeah, riding on the trend is the fastest way to go.
coupled with consistent hardwork, it'll be a combo.
However, one will need a channel genre before all these can happen.

From what I've read, we can't mix everything we do in one channel.
unless it's a Vlog.

I've shortlisted a few genres.
Some with long term growth that I can see myself doing.
They are:

1. Car Reviews
2. Guitar Covers

Although they seemed very very general and saturated all over YT,
imo, those are the genres I have full passion on - so it has less chance of becoming hangat-hangat tahi ayam project
just have to personalize the channel so can be unique.

At first, as I'm such an introvert, I have the same thoughts as this guy.
Was planning not to reveal face.
But...
Studies already show that we, human will only earn trust when can see face.
So... Like it or not, have to show face, however shy

inb4 agenda illuminati to keep record of our face and voice for future projects dammit

it can grow fast, but this kind of genre, requires a team
and it better be a no-harm-prank as we, Malaysians are very very very sensitive.

I really like gaming during my teenage years - Age of Empires, Skyrim, Dota, Dota2, CSGO, GTA III until GTA online (actually also currently playing).
but I don't really see myself growing while doing those
been playing with computers since Win95 era and I think i have brain problem liao hahahahahaah

That's pretty near to 1k subs already.
Maybe you should continue uploading stuffs?
I figure around few months time can easily reach 1k

Thing about YT channel is,
we have to find our base audience.
You're lucky if you are already famous in other social platforms.
But can be quite hard when starting from scratch imo.

Have you tried applying for YT partner program yet?

Don't forget to drop your links should you start YT channel one day.
With your knowledge, you can skip most mistakes normal people like me would make

Yeah, I figured I have to do things I always have interest on.
At least can avoid risks of a halfway project for doing things that doesn't spark the joy in me.

Also, like you said, have to keep reminding own self for persistence & consistency.
I've met Cardock few days ago in his workshop, his advice: "no matter what haters throw at you, just keep uploading."
Hope the advice kicks in when haters come in my YT channel


Actually yeah, I've read somewhere about the same thing you said.
Nowadays, people don't want proper show.
They prefer genuine opinions over staged.

then somehow, last weekend,
the 'ilham' came

The problem I face now, is time management.

Kids nowadays is the next generation of YT viewers.
So, if we can catch these kids' attention now,
we can definitely ride the trend through their teen years for sure.

Just like our times dulu with those 'Spanar Jaya', 'Senario', 'Gerak Khas', and some other big Disney movies.
We would still enjoy at least a little of those content if shown to us now.

I'm doing this in English to improve my language hehe

30.10.2019 Updates
Yesterday tried to rehearse and record,
Sucks big time.

I'm an introvert so I got stucked not knowing what to talk next.
My english is quite terabur, I'm getting too static and awkward.

Welp, I guess at least first foot is down, now going onto my second foot.
I'm going to have to tweak my presentation style I guess.
