How do you all think about the force sensor as compare to the tapping in the previous gen?

I kind of worry bout the force sensor not as convenient as tapping it. Imagine, after gym...you are holding your gym bag with your left hand. Right hand is holder a cup of nice coffee. And you want to answer a call or skip a song. With the previous AirPods, you can still do that conveniently with your right hand that is holding coffee. Just use your index and tap. But with Force sensor, you can't do that...you will have to put ur coffee down first.
*
That's a legit worry actually. I suppose you could answer from your watch...with your nose? laugh.gif

Hahahhaa...if i am going to use the watch, then I can easily tap with my right little finger.

Seems like you have solved my worry  hmm.gif
*
When you're hands are full of groceries (REAL MEN only carry ALL the groceries in ONE trip laugh.gif ) and you get a call...the nose can work wonders. wink.gif

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Nov 4 2019, 02:32 PM)
Haha this is a good suggestion really.
I figured because this a bud version so tapping it will make the earpiece go deeper to your canals hence they moved to the press instead.

It's a small gesture that people often overlook, but its practical and logical. Imagine having an earbud and constantly tapping it. To solve your worry, just put down the coffee lol.
*
It'll look damn weird, but hey, if it works right?

I agree with you on the whole tapping it deeper into the ear canal. Although I wished they implemented a different solution. Gone were the days of innovation I suppose. Maybe wait for the APP2? The battery life for my airpods are still somewhat ok...so won't be upgrading anytime soon. Unless of course I get another gift laugh.gif

QUOTE(PHI_1.618 @ Nov 4 2019, 02:44 PM)
Anyway, I never find it annoying with tapping. Coz I only need to tap very gently and it works.

Maybe the bud is the reason. coz I am pretty sure u wouldn't want something to keep "poking" into ur ears.
But another question, pressing it....won't you kind of like accidentally "adjusted" the bud and make it "moved" from the most comfortable seal you have made when wearing it....you know especially when you are running when you hands are not as steady as standing still....

Hahaha...OK OK...I know...I am thinking too much. If I have so much worries...I should just buy the older version since my first gen battery is kong...Lazada 11.11 sales is selling RM559 only  rclxm9.gif
*
Or you could go for the Sony's? Although the case is hugeeeeee. Online reviews are mixed so far when comparing it to the Sony. Pairing is often mentioned as being iffy (as is disconnection). Personally, I'll probably stick to the airpods. But like many have mentioned, I don't wanna buy something that cost that much to be disposable. Heck, I still have my HD555's and it still works like charm! laugh.gif

Also with regards to tapping...I once smacked my shoulder/neck coz I was sleepy. Managed to skip a track from that laugh.gif

Apple better be fast. My Aeon vouchers are waiting to get one pair from them
*
Eh? Do you mean getting it from an AEON outlet? I actually got a few vouchers hanging around. Huh. Mind sharing which branch would carry apple products? Haven't gone into a Jusco/Aeon outlete for quite some time now.

Since everyone here owned previous gen airpods at some point
What's the easiest way remove silicon case from the battery case?
Kinda hard to pull it out once inside
*
Er...Depends on the type you have. I have a relatively thin one. After a while it gets loose. Aliexpress product...so eh. It did it's job laugh.gif

One Utama Aeon. LG has a big electrical shop. They do carry Apple products. But I am not sure when only they will have the Pro. Since I am pretty sure it is going to be hot cake once launched
*
Ah. Thanks for that!

itchy to get one...

I have sony wh1000xm3 and love it...  but bulky for music on the move

Recently bought ipad and now iphone 11 is on the way.... buy or not to buy...
*
On the same boat as you bro. Love mine but the portability of the Pro is really tempting sweat.gif

Quick question regarding your cans. Do you pair it to more than one device?

QUOTE(Superman7 @ Mar 21 2020, 03:33 PM)
Just buy. You can use Sony on L and Airpods Pro on R
😝
*
The WH is the headphones bro. Can't do that. The better way to do it is wear the Pros inside and the Sony outside. Double the NC yo! laugh.gif

Paired my WH with one device only... I think can pair only one at the time right???

About to pull the trigger for the airpods pro... but my oh my... why is the charging need to use lightning cable  doh.gif

I want to streamline all my gadget to usb-C.... ini memang potong stim

Maybe I should go with Jaybird Vista... better sound, waterproof, cheaper and usb-C but not
as convenient as airpods pro.... bangwall.gif
*
Can pair to more than one...but only one can handle A2DP. So really, can only pair to one sweat.gif

I have the 0G AirPods and the the xm3...I tend to bring my AirPods around much more than the XM3 since it's so much more portable. Can't justify spending 1K for it just yet though. Especially considering the economic climate sweat.gif

Shouldn't have watched the reviews man laugh.gif Where'd you buy it from? Do give us a comparison between the XM3 and Pro's eh? I know it's Apple vs Oranges but I'm still interested to know!

Bought from Lazada...

The 2 days ago, I bought face masks from 2 different seller in Lazada... now seems like Lazada delivery
like stuck for a while... before that within 24 hours can get already.... sweat.gif
*
Did you buy from Lazada's official Apple shop or a different retailer? If it's the former, they have a delivery guarantee. I remember ordering in the morning and receiving it in the afternoon, of the same day. YMMV. Another time it was a day late and I got a compensation voucher biggrin.gif

----------

Guys, anyone used the pros to have a chat while walking outside (Of course not during this MCO la sweat.gif )

I've had some people tell me I sounded very distant and there was quite a bit of wind noise on my 0G AirPods. If this issue persist then I would probably just wait for the second gen.

Received my airpods yesterday... ordered from Lazada on the 30th March I think... Lazada really slow now because of MCO...

Been listening to it for few hours... on the sound quality side.. I think this earbuds in term of sound quality to listen to music is ... sorry to say... very bad... I have Sony headphone 1000 xm3... no comparison at all...

BUT... it is a very good physical design... I mean very comfortable to use for a long time... and very2 light... feel like the lightest earbud around.... I can see that I will be using the airpods more than the sony...  and then the ANC is comparable to sony one.... if you're travelling on an airplane for more than 10 hours... you will appreciate this ANC...

I think apple is a generation or two away from perfecting the airpods... I think apple should concentrate on audio quality for the next airpods pro... then it will be perfect...
*
Thanks for that! For someone with the XM3, that definitely swayed my decision. The only reason I would get the Pro's now is due to ANC in the form factor. However, considering the current situation, I think I'll hold off.

Thanks again!

yes, daily during work, conference call or listen music smile.gif mine still can last 4hours+ when listening to music in single charge

i have airpods first gen few years ago, compare to my airdpods first gen after 1 year of usage, i would say pro model seems improve a lot
*
How was your battery life for the first gen after a year of usage? Mine has dropped to probably two hours (tops) before I get the dreaded chime. I am hesitant to upgrade to the Pro because of this. Really don't like the idea of it being close to dead after only two to three years of usage.

If you're saying the first gen Pros can retain a 4 hour charge, despite heavy usage within the first year of ownership, I might just get one when they next come down in price.

EDIT: Typo

Hmm...That is tempting. Basically there isn't much of battery degradation for your pros eh?

unnoticeable, the first gen 1 very easy notice... i remember i get first gen from Japan around April 2017, til last year before I get the pro on Nov 2019, one side left not more than 20mins music time sweat.gif

and latest iOS 14.2 support optimize charging for Airpods Pro, perhaps can help prolong battery life longer
*
Right. I’m having similar problems with my 0G AirPods too. Thanks for the feedback mate. Much appreciated.

just tried again yesterday, listening to music continuos with ANC enabled for 120-130minutes, my battery down from 100% to 53%, which is considering still in good condition after almost a year since early Dec 2019 I got it smile.gif
the spec stated around 4.5 hours with ANC enabled

Oi. Stop poisoning me. The 11.11 sale wasn’t kind to my wallet. Or rather, I wasn’t kind to it laugh.gif

They must’ve made some major improvements to the battery management then. Quite excited to see what’s in the table for 12.12.

Will probably set a ridiculous price cap so I won’t buy it unless it’s an absolute steal. Lol.

Guys, anyone knows any where I can still buy the spigen urban fit in black? Checked online and only can find either pink, purple, green or silver.

Looking for a single piece construction with a lining inside. Oh also with a clip so I can put it on my belt loop if need be.

Any other case to recommend?

Another option would be the incase woolenex but it seems to be an Apple store exclusive. Sigh.

Just got my unit for my birthday (my wife spoils me) and stressing a bit coz I don’t wanna lose it like I lost my OG AirPods sweat.gif
