same as mine, current firmware cancel low frequency noise such as the aircond vent noise only.

u probably did not experience the previous firmware. On previous firmware, i need to turn on transparency mode before i can hear from others.
with current firmware, i can talk with others by pausing the music (without turning on transparency mode).

i suggest not to buy them unless apple fix it with the next firmware update.

most of the online review is based on old firmware, and the anc is very good.

i see i see. so mean mine also affected? hrmmm not so sure about it. bcuz i thot can hear abit ppl speaking is normal one.
most of the time i using it with my mac with boom3d app during working hour with 60-70% volume so i think it is ok 

yes, only noticeable for user who get the airpods pro at launch. really disappointed, Last Friday still OK  .

hrmm now i try again, i can hear ppl typing on keyboard, open roti plastic sound or move chair sound or walking sound. really not so much different on/off anc. lol. the only filtered sound is the aircon sound so i thot it works fine.
not sure is it before this firmware also like that. hope apple can fixed it asap

Wow after update firmware anc broken? So weird..

Apple has made a mistake by not including the noise cancellation level control.

most of the buyers are either airpods user or first time anc in-ear user. they complain feeling headache / dizzy after turning on anc.

so Apple released a firmware update silently to reduce the noise cancellation level. in my experience, reduced from level 10 to around level 4-5.

hopefully next ios update will include noise cancellation level control.

wow that is really bad. no point already if like that. airpods pro ANC is excellent as per what ppl saying online that ppl can make up that with less decent sound quality of WF-1000XM3, if ANC drop quality, then no use oledi, SQ also cannot fight and now ANC is bad. I planning to buy 1 but heard like if those noise can be heard, really no point.
