It depends on what you want though.

the thing is, my PowerBeats Pro dah rosak – the battery life went down a lot, and I can't re-pair them to my phone after un-pairing to reset them because the right side can't be detected at all. so right now i have to use wired EarPods like an animal lol

now that this new Beats come out, I could buy this one over AirPods Pro 1 – but then I was thinking about the new AirPods Pro 2 coming next year too, like you mentioned hahaha.

possible upsides of getting this:

1. seems more comfortable to use than APP1. reviewers say it sounds way better for bass-heavy music like modern pop or hip-hop than APP1

2. USB-C charging and better skin detect sensor (vs only optical sensor on APP1)

3. slightly cheaper than APP1 / similar to AP3 in price but still have Pro features like ANC, Spatial Audio, and micro-vents for pressure equalisation

possible downsides of getting this:

1. scared it will become like my PowerBeats Pro, where it will have trouble charging and being detected after a while. reviewers say this part seems fixed tho

2. will probably get lower value or not able to sell it at all, if i want to upgrade to the AP2 next year.

so I was thinking of just either getting the Beats Flex (RM 200) or waiting for a sale on current AP1 (eg around RM 700-800) then sell when AP2 comes out end of next year. what do you think?

you have airpods pro right? can you use it while lying in bed, like is it uncomfortably pressing into your ears when your head is on the pillow? i used to have both Beats X and PowerBeats Pro, the former was great to use in bed but the latter wasn’t.

yeah i primarily will use it for music, with only the occasional voice calls. from what i’ve been reading, they have similar sounds where the AirPods will have slight focus towards treble and voice and the Beats slight focus towards bass and music

thing is, the AirPods have MagSafe wireless charging and i already have that magsafe charger haha. also resale value will probably be higher on the AirPods

but the Beats has really tempting sound. ughhhhhhh can’t decide

The beats fit pro has won my heart, contain all the apple goodies and is better than the airpods pro. Looks like ill be jumping from the wf-1000xm4

What about warranty?
Do we contact Apple as well and then drop the item to any switch/machines?

did you check whether your friend buy from local apple authorised reseller?
if below 700.00, most of the seller selling fake Airpods Pro in shopee and lazada.....

He don't like the AirPods and I was next to him, so just angkut on the spot
It's after claiming shopee coin. Original price is around 799 (I think) before the coins.

And the device is recognised on Apple and warranty on the thing shows up on the apple account, so I assume it's 100% genuine.
