If you're not in rush, there is a new version of airpod coming out together with iPhone 13 next month. The price of current versions airpod will have some adjustment perhaps.

Yeah....but that's the airpods 3, which I know I won't want. Even after price adjustment, I'll still be unsure which I want between airpods pro and max sweat.gif

Guys and gals, I'm actually contemplating between the decision to purchase the airpods max or airpods pro. Wanna see what you guys think here, hopefully can help me out.

The reason I'm contemplating is because of a few reasons:
1. It seems there aren't many users of the Airpods Max, so I'm not sure if it's really good/ worth it for me to buy it.
2. There's the comfort question, where I'm not sure if which is more comfortable (Heat, pressure on/ in ears)
3. Is there going to be a refresh for the Airpods Pro? If so, when will it be?

I'm well aware that both of these products are quite different in terms of pricing (and a very big difference at that!), which tends to point that the Airpods Max is better but ultimately, I'm just trying to get something that I will really like and use often.

Any help here or thoughts would be appreciated smile.gif

If budget is not a problem, then just see what you are looking for. If you want comfort and better sound quality the obvious choice is the Airpods Max. If you just listen music on the go, going for workouts or many other activities that requires the size of Airpods Pro than it is the no brainer choice.

I have both AirPods max and AirPods Pro.

I only use A.Max when I’m lying down on the bed, relaxing and just wanna listen to music. Because for me headphones are heavy, and trust me when I say AirPods max is a heavy headphones as compared to the other headphones in the market. It’s solid, the clamp is a bit tight, and yes your ears will definitely get heated up after a while. Will your neck get tired after a while? Personally, for me yes. But the noise cancelling is amazing and I do enjoy the quietness during my meditation.

There are other equally good headphones in the market at half the prices, like Bose or Sony. The only good thing about AirPods Max is the ecosystem so that it can integrate with Apple Devices easily, and also spatial audio. But you can live without those actually.

A. Pro I use it for phone calls and working out. But it is still not very stable for me when I jog, I constantly need to push the earbuds back in. Maybe it’s just the fitting problems, but I believe can be easily solved with extra accessories that we can buy via Shopee.

Heya, thanks for the opinion! It's really great hearing from you who owns both at once.

Yes, I'm looking at Apple products because of the ecosystem and I heard of how good the ANC are on both of these, so definitely going to get either 1. At least now I have a better picture of the usage for each...just need to think through how I am going to spend most of my time using which product thumbup.gif

Do you keep the Pro in your ear for full day when you're in the office? Is it comfortable after prolonged usage?

I also use AirPods Pro for conference calls and I have average 4H-6H calls everyday, I don't feel any uncomfortable but since I will have breaks in between, I will take them off to rest my ears and charge the earbuds. biggrin.gif

I don't regret buying AirPods Pro because it is really easy to use on Apple products plus I'm not a headphones fan. blush.gif

you can tell them, is known issue for AAP manufacture before Oct 2020, so if yours if purchase before Oct 2020, all the AASP you send in will know... they will check and run diagnostic, but it takes few days
but take note that if you dont have the issue, and ask them to check, after inspect no issue, they might charge you sweat.gif at least for Switch AASP they stated in the servicing slip

I have the max. And i love it. Weight is heavy especially the first time using it but u will get used to it.
Initial use u do feel the pressure from the clamps but overtime it will loosen up.

But the most important thing for me when using the max is the sound quality is really not bad. Spacious and bass is solid to me. I m not bass head.
I might consider the pro as well since my Jabra iem is dying.

I see…that’s some great feedback from you. Thanks! What do you usually use it for and how long do you have them on before you feel any discomfort?

For leisure music of course. Haha.
I rarely feel discomfort but i don’t listen to music like for hours. The ear pad is ok but sometimes u might feel a bit like itchy near the ear maybe because the material. But overall, it is very comfortable and heat do built up if wear it longer.

if you dont have other better earphone, can buy first, now can get <RM800 during lazada/shopee sales
even if it will be come next year 1H, til it reach Malaysia could be another 2-3 months... APP spend 2 months to reach Malaysia previously smile.gif
if airpods 3 release this Sept, the earliest for pro model could be March/April 2022

by looking at the AirPods and AirPods Pro release date

AirPods
1st generation: December 13, 2016
2nd generation: March 20, 2019
3rd generation: coming Sept, 2021?
there is a gap around ~2.5 years

AirPods Pro
1st generation: 30 October, 2019
2nd generation: 2022? biggrin.gif

There isnt any earphones that can rival the airpods pro in terms of features and integration with the iphone. I considered the wf1000xm4 but absence of spatial audio is a dealbreaker for me.

Btw Ur analysis too strong dy hahaha. Very well then, will wait for 9.9 sales on lazada for the airpods pro tongue.gif
