There is this 11.11 promotion in laz@da for @ppl3 macbook 2017 for RM 3.7k (128gb), 4.22k(256gb) imo its a super cheap buy, or is it not?

Just wanna get some insights for the 2017 macbook, isit still relevant in 2019 or even 2020?
Specs wise, hardware, ports, i have went through some posts they actually complaint about the keyboard but i think not a huge problem.

*Tell me would u buy it* over xps 13 ? I think as for now xps 13 ranges rm5k . 
Personally i have never tried MAC OS before, has been very interested but poor lol. 
Please kindly share your two cents

Edited: im only using it for normal usage, excel for graphs/ data pivot, word, PowerPoint. Pretty light user i guess. Not gaming not photo editing

Looks ok to me with those prices. Macbooks last for a long time. Every year got new MacOS update. Your usage sounds good although an XPS or other thin laptops will do the job.

If you wish to try MacOS, I think this is a good start for the price but do note this's a non-touchbar model.

Hey thanks for the advice man. But can i know is the touchbar really something must get ? Or its more like a cosmetic with limited practicalities?

Cosmetic. But you do have to note that you do not get TouchID as well on this variant. I don’t see anyone using or expanding touchbar’s capabilities.

128GB is manageable. You just need to manage it very carefully or do everything on the cloud. Or, get an external storage.
