Dear watch enthutiast,

I'm in a serious dilemma to pick my first luxury watch.
Either entry level Rolex - 36mm Datejust (fluted bazel + jubilee bracelet) OR rare piece Panerai Radiomir GMT/Alarm (pam00098).

1. Function wise Pam is outstanding compare to Rolex.
2. Datejust all rounder watch imho.
3. What happen in 10 years future. Pam still reliable and hold its value (due to rarity?) Whereas Rolex still hold a resell value.
4. I'm more into pam but my worries is what if the movement spoil?, how much I need to spend?. Compare tp Rolex, the part easily find.

I realy need help from forumer here..

Thank you
Chinoz

Handle both models and wear them on your wrist - you'll know which one to buy after that.

When you are more into Panerai, get the watch.

Thanks for the advise guys.
During this long weeknd, I'm exploring myself into a few pre-owned shop around Klang valley n Rolex AD at Pavi and Mid.

I guess the true intent is to buy sthg that im realy 'enjoy' and appreciate. Hence I'll setle with pam.

And I don't think DJ holds their value, only certain SS models from Rolex do.

Get something you actually love, don't let arbitrary stuff resale value cloud your judgement.
