Yes it's true. But I think they can't use the Walkman name. Walkman is the trademark of Sony, I believe.

Unfortunately no. The 3 disc carousel malfunctioned.

Then I threw it away.because it couldn't play the newer DVDs which was coming into the market.

That was like >10 years ago.

Sad to see it go. Had it since 1997.
