Damn, to get the Face ID works while mask on is so difficult. Even I followed exactly the guide given on YouTube. It also does not work.
I tried and worked inside my room. When going out, it did not work again. Damn frustrating. |

QUOTE(Punish @ May 5 2020, 08:27 AM) Theres something in my chest i need to release it out, do you know whats wrong with flagship android phone phone...thanks to Apple, android manufacturer dare to crank up their flagship price up to usd1k mark, who start the usd1k trend price at the 1st place...yes it was the apple iphoneX....but let see whats apple give back for your hard earned usd1k, a premium build, beside cuttin edge technology at that time, face id and such, freakin stainless frame, since iphoneX, Apple flagship build has always been to a premium build quality, the best of the best almost VERTU phone level.... I only used one android phone in my life so far which is samseng note 3 becos I did not manage to get the iphone 5 at the first batch. This was the greatest mistake I had made ever and after that back to iPhones all the way. I have only one choice for phones now so no need to choose. So lets go back to android what do you get for your usd1k..., Stainsteel?nope, the fastest soc?, exynos certainly nope, the best camera unless it was pixel others was questionable? So still nope, what else? My point is paying usd1k for android flagship is totally waste of money....its a daylight robbery but nobody care...that why i wud never ever ever ever buy an Android flagship for more than rm2.5k mark...over than that price might as well i go all the way and get the iphone instead... Okay enough rant for today... |

QUOTE(clement5949 @ May 5 2020, 11:01 AM) normally this will not happen. they are totally two different parts of the world, same like northpole vs southpole. apple fans will not go there, while android fans will not come here. |

Reason is simple. Android is not even in my consideration list. I dun even look at any new android product. Haha.Like they really like to compete it |

QUOTE(metaled @ May 21 2020, 01:20 PM) Charging and then watching video on what apps ? On youtube is pretty ok for me. And charging on the 18W brick ? I am still using my iPhone 6 Plus too and it is on iOS 10 which is still quite smooth for web browsing and YouTube still.Heating up has a lot to do with a lot of things, could be just from your apps requesting your location, low signal, or bad cache of app data. I can live with 64 GB storage with 20 GB of free storage, manage your apps storage and upload photo to Google Photos. I turn off background refresh, location, notification on apps that i know I will only use when i need to, like food, banking apps, e wallet, transport apps, social networking apps, shopping apps etc. Extra step go deep into privacy and turn off the location services that you don't need to use, like sharing analytics or location for apple, i only on for find my iphone and the Camera apps for geo tagging. And off Siri. Chat apps and email apps are the only things i on everything for. Ohh yeah, deleting FB, FB Messenger and Instagram helps alot. This is how i live with my iPhone 6 for 5 years, and at the tailend of 2019 turning off stuff you dont need helps A LOT on battery life and fluidity of the phone. I exclusively use 4G data on my pro max in where i live, 80GB of mobile data per month cost RM 35, its a no brainer. Downside is phone do heat up once in a while, somewhere around the phone where the old Apple logo is, next to the camera. |

QUOTE(yvliew @ May 24 2020, 02:18 PM) If 12 is priced same as 11.. I don't see why it will be the same here as well.. iPhone 11 Pro is my first iphone.. People around me usually don't change iPhone every year.. at least they can last 2-3 years as I see compared to android. When I used Android, seems like yearly upgrade is needed to feel fresh.. iPhone can be used for 5 years or more. How is it like for iPhone? I'm not sure whether will upgrade iPhone 12 pro.. maybe for 5G? I think A12, A13 still very powerful chipset that can last quite a while.. A13 last year chip still as good as 2020 SD865 right.. I am still using my iPhone 6 Plus bought in September 2014. |

QUOTE(neuro4869 @ May 28 2020, 04:48 AM) Yeah using ugreen seems alright since it's also mfi certified. Using Lightning-C with my google pixel fast charger. i see. however, does the cable get broken easily? my major issue with lighning cable is that the cable is just simply too fragile. QUOTE(lyc1982 @ May 28 2020, 12:45 PM) is it durable? my lightning cable always get broken especially close to the connector head that part.QUOTE(squall_kay @ May 28 2020, 02:23 PM) im using anker powerline III. i always using either anker or aukey for iOS and Android devices. so far all good. i had used this brand and model of lightning cable before. hwoever, it is not durable, also get broken easily. same goes to aukey the brand.I had used moshi, power support etc. all are not durable too. QUOTE(neuro4869 @ May 28 2020, 08:58 PM) The ugreen seems to be thicker than Apple one. But i only compared the type C-Lightning(Ugreen) and Lightning-A(Apple). i see. i had gotten tired over the lightning cables that i had used so far. even those branded one at high price is also not durable.Btw, Ugreen have an even thicker braided cable version https://www.ugreen.com.cn/collections/light...=31765313093694 QUOTE(huislaw @ May 28 2020, 09:09 PM) When pull out cable, hold the head instead of the cable. i see. saw this brand on lazada etc. seems to be quite cheap. maybe i will order and try it since those expensive one is also not lasting. might as well go for cheaper one, if it is spoiled, at least not so heartpain.Using baseues for few years so far still ok. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ May 28 2020, 11:51 PM) i'm not sure man, this is my 1st iOS device since iPhone 4 time. So these cables serve me well since last year October-2019. type-c i agree, becos i had bought at least 6 2 metres cables at rm9.90 each during the sale. they are good.for type-c aukey, one of if still serve me well since Galaxy S8 time. these aukey/anker cable seems better quality than official Apple cable. lightning cables are exceptions. they are too fragile due to the design. |

it took 2 hours 18 minutes to fully backup my almost full 256GB iphone X via iTunes using USB-A to lightning cable on my MacBook. The USB 2.0 transfer speed on iPhone is really killing people.
I believe iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max are using the same standard also? |

QUOTE(benny0908 @ Jun 3 2020, 08:41 AM) Try Anker powerline+ II or III. Thicker than Ugreen nylon cable. Very thick and durable. I think it comes with lifetime warranty. I actually tried this before. not lasting. same issues I faced for other brands like moshi, power support, aukey etc. QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Jun 3 2020, 02:22 PM) lion city is selling around sgd23++ during sales period. expensive and i dun find it reliable.QUOTE(benny0908 @ Jun 3 2020, 06:50 PM) During sales, I bought powerline+ II USB A to lightning rm60 for 0.9m. Currently Lazada Anker flagship store got sales with 13% voucher. not lasting for me.... QUOTE(kuli2sahaja @ Jun 3 2020, 08:45 PM) also tried before le... not lastting too.just ordered 2x 2m and 2x 1m Baseus 2.4A Cafule Series Cable USB For iPhone 2.4A cables from lazada lion city. Seems to be china brand. never use this brand before. but price wise it is quite cheap. Cost: SGD22.20 with free shipping. Minus off sell promotion discount of $0.67 and $8 discount for paying by citibank card. I paid a total SGD13.53 for 4 cables. i think it is worthwhile. i had been paying sgd20++ per cable and again all did not last. decided to try cheap one. maybe it will be more worth it. at least if it is spoiled, i dot not feel so heartpain. Only have one power support lightning cable with me for charging purpose. the joint to the cable head is already broken. i use scotch tape to temporaily cover it so it works as per normal. Hopefully the new cables will come soon. Else anything happen to this only cable, i will be in trouble to charge my iphones. |
