Is Nomos available in MY? If not, probably that's why no many know about it.

I know Nomos because I am currently based overseas. Nomos watches are famous for having high horology value but at a more affordable price. But the small second dial might not suit everyone's taste.
This youtube video gives a good intro to the levels of Nomos watches.

I own a Junghans Meister Chronoscope because I like the Bauhaus style. Maybe will get a Nomos Ahoi later.

finally a nomos thread here

I think not popular in our country because people here who can afford luxury watches usually will spend their money within the swatch group as those are more easily attainable from the mass market

feels like made in germany premium watches not really appreciated within our community also due to brand recognition status

Leica is a Chinese brand that copies the Bauhaus design from Germany.
For real Bauhaus design, go for Junghans, Nomos, Stowa, Junkers, Laco, etc.
It should have the label 'Made in Germany'.

My bad, I remember the Chinese watch brand wrong. It should be FEICE.
They copy the Bauhaus design in their watches. Some people do not realize this.

Haha, the mistake is mine. They only changed the first and the last letter of LEICA to become FEICE which is a homage watch (exact copy of Nomos and Junghans' design but with Seagull movement).

My brain somehow mixed up these two brands sweat.gif

Great that you like the small second dial. I did not like it at first but getting used to it now. I have it on my Junghans watch too.

I like Junghans more because the Bauhaus design was done by Max Bill, generally considered the best student from Bauhaus design school.

I think the lug to lug top to bottom length is too long for smaller wirst.. considering their 38mm with that long straight lugs just don't quite fit in for me

Tried the Neomatik 35mm on while in Singapore. Appears a little small at first but pretty sure it will feel right after a little while.

Also tried the Tangente, a model I wanted a couple years back. I finally tried it on and.... It's so inert. Lifeless. Boring.
