Hi all, as title suggested. I dont know which to choose. I've ask my colleagues and friends and these two came up. I'm still new with bikes and haven't driven it on the highway before.

Was told the Yamaha Lagenda 115 is easier to get spare parts and to maintain. But was also recommended with Honda Dash 125.
I enquired a shop near me and salesperson said to take Honda.

So, otai2 sekalian..enlighten me please T_T

both bike have plenty of spare parts, but yeah i see more honda wave then yamaha lagenda on the road,

if you want to drive it on highway or long distance, look for a bigger tank and most importantly a comfortable seat,

this a kapchai we talking about, both brands are good, so choosing between the two is no problem, in the end of the day, you choose what you want,

what your eye like,

Lagenda: pro: I) better power delivery
ii) better suspension
iii)Less vibration & rattling (from coverset)

cons: I) Dated design
ii) FC is good, but lose to dash

Dash 125 pro: I) Better FC
ii) Fresh design

cons: I) Horrible suspension
ii) Rattling like there is no tomorrow
iii) some batch still suffers from weird timing chain sound. similar to honda future issue.

So in summary, if u want to go for FC or design > dash
hassle free, lagenda. but the design...really boring.

Oh thanks for the pros and cons! Appreciate that.
I'm a designer myself, i tend to go for better designs if the cons doesnt cause too much trouble. lol but your cons for Honda sounds terrible.

Thanks man!

Both standard model have around same hp around 9.9hp despite having diferent cc(This explain why lagenda feel more power. However, honda cupchai is tuned for better fc)

Both have similar fuel tank at 4L. But honda Dash are known for good fuel consumption. Thus make Dash visit to petrol station less frequent.

Storage compartment wise, Dash have bigger underseat storage which is good to put your givi raincoat bag.

For maintenance, Dash is better for long run. Only need to change engine oil, While Yamaha bike need additional around rm10 each oil changes for oil filter(similar to car)

For me, dash feel lil bit taller to ride than lagenda for the first time. However after a while, it doesn't make any diferent.

If you choose Dash Repsol edition, the orange sport rim are thief magnet nowadays. Do care to put extra security when in parking lot.

As a Dash owner, I do feel my post are biased. notworthy.gif

How about the coverset vibration issue? As a past owner of lagenda, I will personally suggest Dash 125 if the problem is solved. And if I'm not mistaken beside no oil filter, oil change interval for dash is 6000km compare to 2000km for lagenda?
Correct me if I'm wrong

Coverset issue might be the general issue of honda cupchai. But my dash only vibrate on certain rpm. After cruising about 80-90kmh, no really strong vibration felt. I think it is normal for single piston engine.

As for the solution, can diy put a piece of sponge between the vibrate part of coverset.

Oil change interval for me, i do it monthly which around every 1000km to 1500km. Because i mainly ride to work.

6000km interval is too much for me unless you only ride to nearby kedai only.
