i like their concept of the monster movie, exciting , fresh and new.

come on, if u guys want stable camera shots or backstory or watever lil things u all wanna fuss about , we're just getting another godzilla movie
we all know how that turned out.

oh btw, was there any after credits scene , if so wat happened?

Thats not a post credit scene. That was shown in the end, but I never saw anything 'drop from the sky'.

Just came back from Pavilion watching it.

anyway, here's a tip for those that haven't watch it. Its not a spoiler so don't worry.

Theres no post credit scene.

There, I saved you the hassle of waiting for the eternally long credits.  biggrin.gif

Its was a new movie experience to me, feels very suspenseful. Camera was shaky on some parts yes, but its not as bad as some people portrays it(vomiting? wow lol).

a 8/10
Just like Lost, leaves too many questions unanswered.

well actually some cinema operators knows about post credit scenes, so wat they do is instead of letting customers wait till the end of the movie, they forward it to just b4 the credits.
correct me if im wrong (e.g transformers, starscream flying into space was an after credit footage wasnt it? , but in cineleisure they showed it just b4 the credits rolled)
im not saying ur wrong however, cause im not too sure whether there is really a post credit scene

Yes, it would. You see, almost all movies are made with the cam as a 3rd person. The cam is not a person. You never see the cam looking straight at people and people looking & talking straight to the cam.

do u remember DOOM the movie and their fps view , it was dumbest scene i ever saw in my life

Actually, you're the one of the few. Most of us who know DOOM game loved that part. I mean, that part alone gave me the chill and excitement I once had when I was small. And they executed it with just the right amount of action. You should try and pick up the game to appreciate what the producers are doing with the movie laa.
ahh DOOM fan, the FPS scene was actually the only scene i was looking forward to in that movie.
dont get me wrong , im an avid FPS fan(videogames only) infact its the only genre of game i play (sadly) . i played all the DOOM from 1 to 3 , particularly liked 3. but that scene was cheesy at best.i dont let the love for my FPS genre blind me for how horrible it was.

and who else would prefer

Okay, lets just both agree that I like cheese and you dont. happy.gif Just one more scene I love to bring back is when Dwayne 'Rock' Johnson got pulled by the monster.. "I'm not suppose to die!!" wahahahaa!!! I honestly thought he was the main character before that scene. happy.gif

Okay, okay....back to Cloverfield. The blowup scene was down right creepy, but cool non-the-less. They just killed off a character no one could attach to, cept for HUD (poor HUD). I do wonder if there's any alien that popped out of that poor girl's remain. On a serious note, I think JJ Abrams has the direction of this movie to cover not only in the cinemas but in the Internet as well. You guys remember the Matrix franchise?

aiya everyone in the world thinks differently mah. DUH!
in this movie the guy is a noob but wants to show the world what he is seeing
the characters in the show even said , something along the line " People is going to know how it all went down".
some footage is better than no footage

Actually, there was! When the group was running against the crowd in an alley, a Japanese dude was warning HUD of the danger in front in Japanese language. HUD said "I'm sorry, I can't understand what you're saying." That's basically a homage of Godzilla.
*
haha , i didnt know that was a homage of godzilla, prob cause i didnt understand what he was saying as well.
i preferred a parody instead of homage, but i guess that would take the realism out of it, or would it hmm.gif

Watching tomorrow night! So the dizzyness issue is exaggerated? I was going to watch it yesterday but came down with a fever and flu so had to postpone. Otherwise I'll be the first person to puke watching the movie.  tongue.gif
*
err no , dizzyness depends on the individual, can take it or cannot take it.
whats exaggerated is 3/4 of the cinema leaving .

I know it's handheld cam, I know is regarding monster, I think that's enough for me to know before I watch the movie. Well, I hate handheld cam, some say they like it and can get used to it, fine. The storyline is crappy, that's the fact, which let me feel so not worth it. I stand for the dizzy (one and half hours), and what I get back is NOTHING, all NO ANSWER,
*
oh its a fact. look up the dictionary for the meaning of fact whistling.gif

Hate the ending. Was hoping for a mindblowing ending like the government awaken loch ness to fight against it or something better but with the conclusion about the monster flashbanged, it's just too much of a turnoff sleep.gif
