Okay, lets just both agree that I like cheese and you dont. happy.gif Just one more scene I love to bring back is when Dwayne 'Rock' Johnson got pulled by the monster.. "I'm not suppose to die!!" wahahahaa!!! I honestly thought he was the main character before that scene. happy.gif

Okay, okay....back to Cloverfield. The blowup scene was down right creepy, but cool non-the-less. They just killed off a character no one could attach to, cept for HUD (poor HUD). I do wonder if there's any alien that popped out of that poor girl's remain. On a serious note, I think JJ Abrams has the direction of this movie to cover not only in the cinemas but in the Internet as well. You guys remember the Matrix franchise?

Very true....
If only they would indicate Hud as an expert cam handler and work as a reporter, it would be much better eliminating the shaking and explain why he would follow rob to rescue her gf. SOrt of wanted to make a big news from the cam!

It won't change much even if you put Hud as an expert cam handler. How do you expect him to be calm all the way of the invasion? Especially during Marlena being dragged away by the military since Marlena was his crush.

I do agree that using the viewcam method could not bring out the best; but if we try to appreciate the movie the other way around, you will know what the producers are to convey to us.

Not much changes I agree but not as bad as now? No?

The point is, how you shot the cam and capture the emotion of the audience as if they are part of the survival in the movie, not running around with the view upside down all the time, and shaking to a unacceptable degree even in a calm situation?

I remember last time I watched couples of Tsunami video and most of it was amusing, is bad to think that way cause lot of death toll up from this disaster, but the emotion is different when we look at it from the eye of an eyes withnesses. THey hold their cam, they saw the wave growing, cheering and fansinating voice all around, and all of the sudden, the wave come closer and bigger and ppl start running. Cam holder start to run as well, is shaking hell of course is shaking, but at least, during the wave grow, he really took the whole process and make audiences see how its grow.

A true reporter or pro cam user know when to take the best shot, where to take and how to take. THat is why If Hud is a char with pro skill in handling the cam, thing would be different and maybe lot more ppl could accept it. He just shot blindly and keep expressing that he want everyone to know what actually happen, but what most of us really saw is escaping of a group of friends in a very confusing way.

Again, I am saying this because i treat it as a movie, of course if this is a documentay, I would had given a different opinion based on my logic and feeling. A movie is away a movie, no matter what method u try to shot it. And when its went into the big screen, certain criteria must be there to be ranked as a great movie.

My guess is the venom from the zergling has somesort of chemical reaction.
Just like vinegar and baking soda.

Maybe the chemical reaction follows 1st order reaction which reaction starts slowly then rises exponentially building lots of gas in the victim and explodes.

I watched this yesterday and it was good since it's a whole new concept. Similar to the Blair Witch project but better. And yeah, I get motion sickness easily so 1/4 into the show I was feeling dizzy and all. But I tried to control it by chewing gum so I did watch the entire show. My fren had to close her eyes cos she was gonna puke. Although there were certain things that didn't make sense or were kinda disappointing (like we could only see so little of the monster), for a new concept it is rather good. Kept us on the edge of our seats and we were all totally immersed in the storyline. smile.gif
