Usually, after the movie is shown, the hype will boils down and fade away...but this is the first time a movie not only live up to its, hype...but also increasing the hype all over the Internet. Most of the followers and those who fell in love with the movie are so eager to look for more clues and anticipating for sequels. The movie might be mediocre, but the fever is gettting hotter! biggrin.gif

Kudos to mosai for updating on the much needed clues in the movie as well as in the official sites. Lets make this thread a place to gather more clues and information about this event. This is fer real people, there is a monster attack on NYC. We need to know and find out, what caused the monster to surface and who is behind it!

So there is also a possibility that more video footage of the NYC destruction gonna be posted up in the Internet as a continuation of the movie? Hmm....interesting. Although I hope the next sequel wouldn't be made using another video. Not that it wasn't a creative move, but I hope that they would make a different approach...more like a real movie scene shot. Even still, I'd still be watching it. happy.gif

This is a picture of 3 dead whale. Obviously, eaten by something large...lets just make it obvious that its the monster that attacked NYC. Now here's the interesting bit about the whale:

I really wanan admit I'm a true believer after watching Cloverfield, but I can't give it a 10/10 rating. Personally, because there is not much replay value in watching it again the second time (except to look for the easter eggs). I mean, Deep Rising isn't really a revolutionary movie, but I've watched it more than 10 times because of the entertainment value.

I guess that is what Cloverfield lacking. This movie has so much strength in the cinematography and plot direction as well as the whole mystery and clues left by the movie. But once you know all that, once we go pass everything shown...it'll probably be left there. Maybe its the handycam issue, because watching it the first time is okay, but more than that, you'll just be reminded again why you're watching an amateur footage when there are other movies for your entertainment purpose?

Even so, 9/10 is my rating for this movie for the impact it gave to me even after watching the movie.

A tip of advice to JJ Abrams (if he's reading this). If you wanna make Cloverfield a memorable, household name, you must have a score - the music for the monster. You know JAWS was such a success not only because of the story, but because just by listening to its score, you know straight away, its JAWS. More legendary score examples - Star Wars, Rambo, Superman, Matrix, Titanic, Jurrasic Park.

Thx JJ Abrams for the great movie. You rox!

A lot of ppl misjudged me, or perhaps I got it wrong. What I meant about my suggestion to JJ Abrams is for the coming sequel, or for the continuation of the story. There is none about the Cloverfield movie I wanna change. Every great movies has to have its memorable moments, and for Cloverfield, its the decapitation of the Statue of Liberty. Now I'm suggesting to JJ Abrams that for the next coming sequel or for any viral adverts for that matter, he should put in a score, or even a unique sound/score/music for the monster itself.

Anyway, thx fly for suggesting me about the end credit music. I honestly didn't notice that the first time. happy.gif

Hey! I get what u trying to say! U mean something like a unique score/theme song for the movie right? Something like star wars, rocky and other memorable scores.
*
Exactly! rclxms.gif
They already have a manga for Cloverfield, could I be wrong to suggest that JJ Abram might make an animated movie for Cloverfield? If he does, I'd sell my soul if he's making one using production from FFVII:Advent Children. The scores are amazing! happy.gif

Rocky... happy.gif that score now reminds me of this guy:
