Fixing Unemployment Supply & Demand... but it must begin with demand first

Demand
- HR Ministry collect data of jobs available (current n future) from public/private employers
- compulsory for all employers sent data to HR ministry (how many retired, new recruitments, etc)
- analysis of job mismatch
- data sent to Education ministry

Supply
- Education ministry limit intake of courses based on jobs demand input
- Priority to critical, high-demand, technical tvet jobs
- Impose quota students intake to all public/private uni colleges to prevent oversupply
- PTPTN also reduce cost as less students apply for useless unrelated mismatched degrees
- those exceed limit revoke their college operating license

Simple n effective solution! icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro u need a good mechanism to predict labour requirements 5-10 years in the future. It’s not that easy.
*
Yes not easy but other aspect of saving student from making mistakes choosing wrong choice n ends up raking huge PTPTN loan debts is equally important also

you'll be surprised that a majority of public/private employers will just simply give bogus data
without their own actual planning..

Its a bit hard to get 'future job demand', considering that these are data from 500k companies (not including new companies that can come up in the future) as well as changing economic conditions - more demand if more growth etc.

The solution is simpler and counterintutive - create more low skilled jobs.

The government is trying to create private sector jobs for high skilled individuals (employees of which may not be there) but seem to neglect jobs for the large majority of workers - the unskilled. Construction and plantation jobs arent enough - theres no progression. We need factory jobs.

It just a trend prediction n preventive measures

On the other hand, reduce the number of students 'trapped' by colleges PTPTN loan debt usually during the career seminars which ends up signing the loan instead of choosing the right career path
