hey guys i need some advice...
how do you guys sell your greens/blues or purples at AH according to your server pricing?
how do i see the market price for specific item in AH...

for example twilight boots of the eagle...
i don't know the market price because my green is only one of a kind in AH at the moment...
so how do i estimate the reasonable pricing of that green item at AH?

thnx...

PS: do you guys refer pricing to wow.allakhazam.com or it's not advisable to do that?

referring to wow.allakhazam is not that advisable for bc. use it as a guide, not as the final word. if im unsure of what to price an item, i usually check the price of the item if i vendor it and mark it up by 1-2g. and also, if the item has crappy stats for that particular armor class (ie. 60spirit on a plate) u can sell it at near vendor price. that's DE trash for enchanters.

some gear with resist will be worth more. a ring with 28 stam and 17 arcane resist can sell for 20g or more.

auctioneer addon, it allows you to track historically what your item went for.

but mostly its down to experience, after a few months of playing, you get a feel of how much a item is worth, and once you know which stats is useful to which class, you will know better wether a item is worth selling

eg
plate items wiht +spirit, only paladins can use it, but +spirit is totally useless to paladins...so..the item obviously wotn go for much..just vendor or DE

alot of useless blue/green items is also commonly bought to be DEe'd, so they are normally the cost of the equivalent DE mat

Whale,Gorrila,Wolf items are trash.
Just vendor them or DE it.

Generally the easiest way for a beginner to price an item is to look for other items at around the same level.

Let us say you want to get rid of some level 25 cloth boots - you could search the AH for cloth boots of levels 21-29 to see what the price range looks like then consider if your item is better or worse than what you see there and price accordingly.

"Better" means more desirable for the class that that item will attract. e.g. Rogues/Hunters want Agi on their items, so a "...of the monkey" with Agi/Sta is far more desirable to a Rogue/Hunter than a "...of the whale" with Spi/Sta.

Some green stuff is almost worthless like the "... of the whale" mentioned earlier, so you would be better disenchanting them or vendoring them, rather than wait for a clueless player to buy it (if ever). Green stuff tends not to vary much in price. Blues and purples have a much wider price range. I regularly buy blues priced below what I think it it sell for and grab them immediately, either to disenchant or resell.

Every server is different so allahkazam, wowhead, and thottbot can only serve as a rough guide to how much an item is worth.

Greens : at the increased rate of green drops these days after patch 2.0 last year, it's not really worth going up that much higher than the suggested WoW. exception to the rule are +healing gear at higher levels, especially plate items. those can sell with a higher increase with no problems.

Blues : Hard to tell. Some drop move often than others but generally 100g-800g at lvl 70? Depending on what drops. If it's a DPS caster stuff, those can go very very high.

Epics : Lvl 70, u sually maxed out at 1000g I think. Not sure if the AH can push it up higher than 1000g.

yeah, but nowadays with so many guilds running higher lvl instances as well as the buffed up pvp rewards, u won't get such a good price for boe epics anymore. those ppl who are not in guilds running 25 man instances 24/7 will prolly pvp for their gear instead. why? cos its a much more fun method of farming for gear than farming primals and whatnot.

most if not all boe item lvl = 100. cant fight with pvp or raid gear.

After checking the required mats, this item is made of:-

1X Hardened Adamantite Tube
4X Khorium Bar
2X Dawnstone

It depends on the economic climate your server. Are these things priced ridiculously high?

Btw, just curious abt what weapon you attached it to. tongue.gif

khorium might be pricey although if you're lucky, you might get a full khorium instance. that's what i had during an SL run.

blinkstrike, around 2k gold.

go blame sword itemization being piss poor to the point rogues needs to fight with tanks for king's defender.

and thats just 1 boe epic.

Auction Reports

Curse gaming has monthly auction reports that have the worldwide average values of various items. Might give you a bit of an insight on your respective server's AH prices of certain items. I found it quite interesting coz Star of Elunes go for 70g-90g on Blackrock.

I don't do raid, most of my items are from pvp vendor, including Rare Crossbow that I attached +12dmg scope on it.

AV weekends passed by...
now farm honor for
- veteran belt
- triumph rings
- +10 critical strike gems ( wonder this is unique or not )
- maybe a pvp polearm ( 30k honors... )
- +34 resil from 1 pvp trinket ( forgot its name, pendant of ?? )
- +10 resil meta gem from halaa ( if i lucky to get 100tokens )

don't do raids.. that isn't rare if you're a retcore like me =P not willing to bend to the healbuffbot ultimatum, just yet... hahaha...

as those that posted earlier said: prices are dependent on your server market. if i can't find the same item on sale, i'd usually compare items that are the same level and roughly the same stats. that i reckon, is the safest way to do it. that's usually what i do for greens. blues and purples works on another whole different level tho. its more of an experience when it comes to those. depends on the market wants/needs and stats on the item.

thaurissan market is typical of a malaysian attitude... "wah, u sell that price, i sell cheaper!", and then the next guy listing up will sell cheaper and the next will be even more cheaper... so on and so forth, haha... i got my icereaver for 1g+ way back out of a list that ranges from 1g+bo to 30g bo... blink.gif

Plate "of shadow protection" armor are selling well for me. Probably for warriors / paladins using in the arena against warlocks / shadow priest teams.

Raiding is fun especially when trying out new bosses.

Unfortunately, other than trinket/weapons, the gears you get from raiding tak boleh pakai in PvP. rclxub.gif
