Why dont you try it yourself.
i opened up my astro pvr before.. It was not an astro njoy, but astro beyond pvr.. It is easy to remove hard disk, just like replacing pc's hard disk. However I didnt try to remove it and checked the astro channel at the same time. I opened up the decoder last time because I want to replace the hard disk only.. see my video below.. https://photos.app.goo.gl/YhyeUNSJci88TKqD8 This post has been edited by zeese: Oct 22 2019, 10:59 AM |

QUOTE(szecheng @ May 26 2020, 12:38 PM) not maybe. confirmed. i did it early this year. one thing i note is the rm50 paid is still shown under my terminated account as -rm50. so i supposed in future if i need to convert back to normal astro account again. maybe the rm50 can still be recovered. |

QUOTE(szecheng @ Oct 21 2019, 05:02 PM) Hi All, If you just watch Astro channels as usual, it will still work as usual. If i remove the astro pvr 500gb harddisk, will it stop working for astro channels? i do not need to record. i'm on njoi now And since you're already on Njoi, then it's pretty much no difference with or without the hard disk. |
