Hi,
Just wondering how is the reliability of the latest Volkswagen models (especially the Passat) in terms of the DSG gearbox and general maintenance
Is it a good model for daily commute ( mix of highway and klang valley jams ) ?
if it doesnt have issues, its going to burn a hole in your wallet later for maintenance.Just wondering how is the reliability of the latest Volkswagen models (especially the Passat) in terms of the DSG gearbox and general maintenance

If you dont mind the costs or potential issues it works fine for daily commute. The DSG is a poor choice for traffic jams because its not your standard auto, its a manual gearbox thats fully automated, and so traffic jams can wear it out fast as it has 2 clutches, treat it like a manual.
