The protagonist actually re-utilize many of his past life knowledge and incorporate it into his combat and business style in the 2nd half of the novel. And also very rare story start from his infancy till he die of old age.
OK just started watching this, initially I quite skeptical because isekai genre is already cliche with overpower characters and troupes. But protagonist isn't like that. He got nice ability when he was reincarnated but he not going Kirito or Shiba Tatsuya. He making it natural.
Some episodes even nice, feel like watching slice-of-life(which is also my fav genre). Sugita narrating the whole scene adding nice flavor to anime. I hope when Rudeus turned teen he will get the Sugita voice lol else I'm will be disappointed.
Btw Web Novel is finished already. Light Novel is still ongoing. I pretty sure this anime will go season 2 and more..

i hope they will run continuously like naruto, black clover, or at least fairy tail with 100 episode in 1 season since story is completed

In the end its depend on novel publisher to get green lit for more seasons. Light Novel is still ongoing so they may need to complete the anime based on Web Novel version to promote Light Novel version.
This anime and the shield isekai. I just hope it doesnt follow Log Horizon's fate. 3rd season after soo long
if they keep the story moving at a good pace should be fine.
I start to understand why LH resume season 3 after so long, it's fricking boring with politic and talking... until recent episode only have some action. publisher must have hesitate whether to do it or not however LH have nice OP... so can be forgiven
MT is good in character depication and development. I would suggest reading the light novel for more in-depth description of character feelings. Like there is an extra chapter in Vol1 which describe Zenith's feeling during EP4 which got omitted. To me, it was the best part of volume 1 haiz

Total 23 episode in season I, next cour will start in July 2021 technically still season one la. Many studios adapted spilt cour after COVID hits like Re:ZERO, SAO Underworld War, Tensei Slime and etc.

what do you expect a 10/11 years old? not to mention his past is a useless person. He is trying his best to survive and travel back to human continent... no matter how smart a person, there will be some loophole he would miss out. not to mention he lack of experience in life. such turning point in life is to make him a better person

Exactly. This is MC’s turning point. I don’t get why you think this episode is boring. He’s also mentally in his 40s, waking up to the harsh truth that life doesn’t revolve around him is a freaking good build up for the next story.

probably expecting more combat like fighting north god
highly doubt 40s mentality, if 30s/ 40s he would have done better in collecting information. the most 20s only, which he didn't grow his mentality. he just want to do better in his new incarnated life. this would be turning point in his life after such incident
well OVA is called original video animation because it was not broadcasted on JP tv saving hassle to book tv timeslots. Since it was not broadcast in JP tv, not sure if Muse Asia will broadcast it or not. But Muse Asia had tensei slime special episode also so it was possible.
I do hope S2 will be as marvelous as S1 /OPM flashbacks
S2 had less fight scenes and should be less taxing due to school arc as long it was BIND doing it should be fine I guess. OPM S2 switched to JC staff from mahdhouse.

i was confused about the story until she went back to the inn to be frank goblin slaying is so short, i think she slay human longer than goblin
well it would be better if Muse Asia name this as episode 17.5. For anime only it would be quite strange and confusing but this ep serves as a build up for later plot. Tbh as a source reader, I also thought I click the wrong anime when the 1st part plays out.
