What’s justification are in getting insurance plan for newborn ?
Apart from the obvious reason as saving/emergency/peace of mind or too much money lol ? Want to hear from broader scope.

I wanted to. But the prices are a rip off... I mean I get it if earlier it’s expensive but after a few years of age, it should go down and then Gradually go up. But will get charged a flat 200-250 indefinitely.

Please ensure your total insurance/takaful contribution is not more than 10% of salary. This is what I followed from the financial planner.

Regarding the insurance for baby, cross check again with your budget, it's good to have medical card for baby if you have the budget. If your budget is tight, maybe you should take the stand alone medical card without any ILP or any rider attached.

Focus on the annual limit instead of lifetime limit.

You can get as low as 130 for the stand alone medical card for baby.

What insurance?

Medical? Life? Savings?

Medical - Maybe, but no need if your company covers children as well.

Life - Absolutely not, dont even consider.

Savings/Education - Only if you cannot/dont want to invest yourself.

Really depend on ur needs and budget daddy.

The medical plan is really important in case admission to hospital. Nowadays high fever (eg 40 degree) or virus attack need to admit straight. There where the medical card is needed.
