So I recently found out I really wanted a good CRT monitor, but the problem is Malaysia is almost extinct of CRT monitors. I have searched Google, Lowyat Forums, Plaza Lowyat, Imbi, Pudu and my University. Singapore also. So this is my last place.
Anyone knows where I can find any, like from old computer stores? Or if anyone is selling one. Hard to believe that Malaysia used to manufacture these stuff but now it doesn't even exist.
Anyone seen an old store with one one? Or if you have one rotting in your basement. A 19" or larger model that exists in Malaysia.

Mhmm ya Digital Foundry haha. It seems it's easy to pick one up in the US.
In Malaysia, electronic tax damn high so very few people can afford good crt in the past. So even less 2nd units for me. 18" above is a dream

Nothing last forever tho, OLED nowadays finally catching up with crt in response time and color.

I have been gaming on a 17 philip crt monitor recently, playing games like witcher 3, rise of the tomb raider and devil may cry 5. Imho, the experience is not nearly as immersive as my acer predator x34. I think playing modern games on any crt less than a sony trinitron 21inch will not be as impressive as portrayed in the YouTube video.
Retro console like PS2, gamecube, and Dreamcast, however, is a totally different story.

But personally I don't like screen sizes too big, my eyes can't keep up. So I think crt suits my needs okay Of course need an Aperture Grille type crt, those have much better image quality than normal ones
