can try for tracker with heartbeat detector like apple watch(expensive) or amazfit(cheaper), try trace your heartbeat during you sleep.

Yes I do, I sometimes skip beat and I knew that.

Visit doctor and do ECG test.

Doctor said my heart structure abit different, the Aorta or Altery are born with 2 holes or something.

So the blood went through and skip a beat sometime.

You can see a GP first to do a basic ECG. It's cheap and can already detect a lot of arrythmias (heart rhythm problem). If the ECG is normal, you may need to get a Holter's test done at a medical centre. It's also best to get a baseline blood electrolytes done.

Please read the symptoms from this site,
https://www.bhf.org.uk/informationsupport/c...al-fibrillation
Best is to check your ecg, and referred to a cardiologist. From one electrophysiologist, I heard him say that this symptoms normally happen to older patients, ages after 60. But nowadays many young people are getting it. He likens it to the Dengue apidemic. 🙂😉

See a cardiologist, or at least a consultant physician.

There are many types of irregular heart beats.

If you have atrial fibrillation, it can lead to a stroke.

Consult a Cardiologist and seek help from him as you can't take a risk with your health.

Im experiencing this now and i went to emergency and did an ECG but was sent home after drips and diagnosed as Sinus Tachycardia.

How old are you btw? Any other symptoms with it?

sounds like PVC, premature ventricular contraction

from Google:
Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) are extra heartbeats that begin in one of your heart's two lower pumping chambers (ventricles). These extra beats disrupt your regular heart rhythm, sometimes causing you to feel a fluttering or a skipped beat in your chest.

usually harmless

Insufficient investigation.

You need to undergo Holter. ECG only able to capture whatever you experiencing at the moment. But holter on the other hand will record your hearbeat for 24H for detailed rhythm.

I will add stress test as my list of investigation as well for more established diagnosis.

This thing is up all day every day making me so stressed and losing lots of sleep.
Btw what do you suspect it is? I have asked 2 GPs and both of them said skipping beats are actually normal and happens frequently in others as well.

Haih so stressed. Thanks by the way.

GP for NCD cases, touch and go cases ok la. But for vital issue like this, you wanna bet your life?

The best and most practical option for you to settle this once and for all is by walking in to IJN. They recently open up a private wing (clinic) for walk in patient (but need to call to check for the cardiologist availability first).

Just with one appointment (in some cases, need more than one to arrange for subsequent investigation), you will have a definitive diagnosis by cardiologist.

For me, your kind of case what makes it difficult to follow up is the waiting time. Even under normal private hospital, it will not be walk in basis.

Good for us, IJN sorted this issue.

Yes, I didn't do anything after that. The doctor advise me that it is normal and people (very rare) do get that.

And he asked again, in my daily life do it affect anything? If not, it is ok. smile.gif
