Hey guys, my currently exhaust system setup is 4-2-1 extractor and straight pipe HKS muffler.

My car is Alza 14th gen Auto 1.5 cc

Want to ask for some suggestion what things I still can upgrade for my exhaust system?I want more pickup. My mid pipe not yet do any mod yet still stock with stock resonator. What can I upgrade for my mid pipe, remove my stock resonator and install a straight pipe without resonator? Will it getting better for pickup? Or any suggestion you guys can tell me below.

Thank you

I cant imagine how noisy your car is now lol. Exhaust has increased flow. Has anything been done to the intake, and has anything been done to the fuelling to compensate the extra flow? Not to mention ignition advance.

modding exhaust wont increase pickup.
only the "feeling" of you step lesser oil to maintain the speed giving you "more power feeling". 0-100 will still be the same. try counting it.

Please dont be those who have loud exhaust and without resonator that makes the neighborhood smell and noisy. very unfriendly bro.

Removing resonator - there's going to be a droning sound. Removing muffler, well you get a louder system. These things are mainly for sound rather than any horsepower improvement. I can't imagine the sound in an Alza.

But honestly, if you really want a better pick - changing to a better air-intake + tuning would be best, and try looking up cat-back exhaust systems. However, it will be costly. There's also talk about back-pressure, but I don't think these cars are affected that much.

Lets face it, the vehicle itself is built with fuel economy in mind... there isnt much you can do to make a noticeable difference in acceleration without large sums of money & modifications.

Been there, done that... save your money & get a performance oriented vehicle instead. wink.gif

Not really noisy actually ,just a bassy sound. Intake just take off my stock air filer and replace it a filter like k&n 1

Remap/tune your ecu would be the best bet for non performance NA car.

If you insist on after market exhaust system, at least get from a reputable source/workshop instead of those cap ayam exhaust shop.

Have stopped modding cars for quite some time, bro. I’m not sure about any ECU tuning workshop. Take a spin around Sunway would be the best bet. As for exhaust, I’ve used the exhaust system from Shahrom or Sharom back in my Putra days. His mom or if still the same: 012-3085152. Exss workshop in Setapak.

I had my 2011 lagi best myvi 1.3 installed with K&N drop in air filter & full set hotbits catback performance exhaust system, managed to trim the 0-100 from 12.6 to 11.7sec.

That was 8 years ago though.

Exss exhaust system is pricey, but worth it, for me at least. Did my myvi there too.

Yup. His stuff are built to last. I think it would still be functioning great if my car wasn’t stolen, LOL. Just got a quotation from him for my GK5, 2.5k. Can’t recall the figure I’ve paid last time.

you wont get increased flow with the exhaust, theres a limit to how much the engine can burn and the pumps can push that the exhaust isnt the limiting factor,.

No need to mod the exhaust, just make sure the system is in good shape and doesnt overheat. If you do want to mod your exhaust, do it for the cooling factor, as exhaust can get hot and become a problem, especially on grass.

An alza will be an alza.. unless u swap the engine to a more powerful one.. highest gain u get from ur exhaust might just be a few hp. No point on doing it.

If u really want better pickup. Remove unnecessary weight. Remove all seats n spare tyre. Get high flow air filter.

Or buy myvi. Godcar.

I actually thinking of changing my muffler but I really don't like it too loud for my Axia. Sigh.
Not to mention still have to get a bullet to go with it. More money spend. sad.gif

ECU remap is the way to go. However pricing wise cost close to 1k. You get better throttle response, power and better FC. For NA don't expect much increase HP compared to turbo. if you can get 10% that's really good.
