Not negative but realistic. As said, poorperly investment is different from migration. What is the chance for Hongkies to obtain p.r?

Believe there are more west African in kv than hongkies.

Housing Budget 2020

-Rent-to-own scheme worth RM10 billion to help those who cannot afford the 10% downpayment for purchase of homes worth up to RM500,000.
-Under the scheme, applicants enter into a five-year rental agreement with the option to buy after the first year.
-To address glut in unsold condominium and apartment units worth some RM8.3 billion in Q2 2019, the threshold will be decreased for foreign buyers from RM1 million to RM600,000 for urban properties.
-Youth Housing Scheme by Bank Simpanan Nasional to be extended to end of 2021.
-RM100 million for repair and refurbishment of public housing.

Subsale applicable? or this is only to help developer to clear out those overhang units?
Overhang define by completed property but still unable to sell, still under developer units.

WTF...why do we want them to come and compete with our jobs?

We want them to bring their money/capital and setup their business and hire local people here.
Pay our tax, spend their money here and fill our empty homes.

Saya pun malas nak explain to doomsayer like you lah.
Boleh baca sendiri lah

Foreigners don't buy poorperly just because price is cheaper than home country.

Let see in a year time, how many thousands hongkies bought their second home here.

Of course not.
Some buy because of the quality of life - slower pace, bigger house etc
Some will still buy because of price.
The average price of a home in Hong Kong in 2019 is more than USD1.2 million.Source
Average price per square metre (sq. m.) in HK is USD28.5k vs Malaysia USD3.5kSource
For some Hongkie, our real estate price is super cheap. It is all relative.

For the statistics, you dont have to wait until next year.
If you watch the CNA video I posted here earlier. link
Last year (2018) - total of 300 applicants from HK for the WHOLE YEAR.
This year (2019), since June, there are approx 150 applicants from HK Per WEEK.

If housing industry is desperate to this extend, one should stay far away.

I only see you find thousands reasons to deny. Can I also conclude that you are interested to own one property but not now because not bottom yet?

What I see
1)foreigners-many foreigners(from UK, Australia, New Zealand etc.) in my company actually bought properties in Malaysia and they love to stay in Malaysia for reasons such as living cost here is super cheap, they can have a luxury life here compare to their home countries, many of them actually choose to retire in Malaysia. Many people here can speak English also and we are good people. I have been to many countries, don't need to look down at Malaysia, I certainly love Malaysia.
2)local-there are actually many locals with high pay, and I personally feel property in Malaysia is very affordable to locals compare to many countries. Don't be too pampered. I saw many thousands people in my industry actually got a good increment and bonus last year and will be getting a better pay coming year. Many of my colleagues are buying into properties, and we are not flippers, we buy because we can afford.

I’m a business person, and I am very worried if foreigners can obtain mm2h easily.

Many of you who doesn’t run business might not know that many industry is facing fierce competition from China now. In fact, China company trash us so hard , we lose in pricing and speed.

1. Building material industry. Do you know for the past 3 years many China came in and set up building material company in Malaysia? Some use Malaysia citizen ic to set up company but belakang all China boss. Do you know 90% developer such as mah sing, jl99, ak, trinity, akisama, sp setia, ew etc are using these china building material due to cost cutting? Yes they are cheap and their quality is not on par with Malaysian but who cares? Everyone wants a cheaper house which forced developer to use them.

2. Building industry. See how many China developer / contractor in Malaysia now. I don’t have to explain much.

3. Courier company (many China coming in)

4.small business, selling textile, liquor, hardware, etc etc . They are coming in and setting up company in Malaysia, trashing all the sme in Malaysia .

Soon every industry u will see China ppl controlling our market!

PS: i am speaking from a SME point of view. my company has been in this market for the past 30 years, not kacang putih company. i can see many of my "competitor" is slowly eliminated by these china company. Simply because we can NEVER win their price. We DO win in terms of quality.. but nowadays people look at PRICE first.. fact.

Mm2h can only invest in business passively. If they set up business via proxy, then doesnt matter if they have mm2h visa or not. They can still conduct business from china via proxy.

1. No extension.
2. You can sign spa before 31st dec. But the deadline for stamping of SPA is one month after the SPA is signed. Should the stamping take place after the deadline, a penalty will be imposed by LHDN for late stamping.
