I'm planning to get a rear window sticker ad for my car. I'm not talking about those you see on Grab/Moola where the whole car is covered in ads. It might look something like this: So what I'm wondering is: 1) Is there any rules / laws in Malaysia governing such ad? Is there any license / registration required to put my own ad on the back of my car? 2) Is there any traffic law dictating how much visual field / level of transparency I should have on my rear window after the ad is stuck on it? Don't wanna get stopped by the cops midway when driving Thanks in advance to any sifu that is familiar with this topic.

1. Afaik, ads pasted on car body shall not "change" the primary colour of the car. In your case, not sure. 2. With VLT level of 0% allowed for rws, this might not be your concern. If you're caught, it will make a newsworthy read due to the irony.

If you're caught, it will make a newsworthy read due to the irony ^this best.. free public mass advertising I believe this won't be much an issue as long as the sticker advertisement at your rear windscreen is not overly huge that will obstruct your rear view vision that could post a danger to other road users.

Be very careful. Police may issue a fine under the law that your windows/windscreen is blocked with a too large sticker/object.

Just out of curiosity, what does the abbreviation "rws" stand for?

Alright thanks guys, I think bottom line is as long as the ad is not exceedingly large / blocking the view then it's safe to be on road. Also, there's no other special registration required to put it up.

Maybe that's because 0% VLT tints still allow you to see from the inside to the outside (but not the other way round), while car sticker ads block both ways?

Why not just put the ads on the body? Even if it's allowed, no good can come from limiting your vision while driving.
