ermm not only baby's hygiene are important, parents and ppl who kiss bb also must be clean. If can do not let others to kiss or touch your bb's face.

is your wife feed bb breat milk? if yes, your wife got to control what she eat.

Keep using what's dr prescribed, if still wont heal, go back to the same dr n
he will prescribe another base on ur bb's condition

Try some Lucas Paw Paw if it persists consult a dermatologist. I would suggest if the baby is under 6 months you refrain from being doctor yourself or consulting Dr Internet.

Is the napkin being washed using a baby safe detergent? Many babies are highly allergic to adult detergents.

Some basic rules, we did with our newborns. No one other than the my wife and me (later on our maid) can carry them. This is a fairly common practice in many Western countries these days. If that is difficult to implement, request anyone that wants to hold or touch the baby to wash their hands first, give the excuse baby been getting a lot of rashes lately and skin very sensitive. Strict no kissing policy other than by the parents. If it is unavoidable which it can be at times, keep some baby wipes for face and hands ready, after any kiss just give the face area a quick wipe. Don't worry about offending anyone when it comes to baby ya.

Regarding breastfeeding. My wife follows a very Chinese approach while me I follow a more British approach to these matters. She was told a long list of things she isn't supposed to eat and is supposed to eat. Some were full of contradictions and some seemed pure BS while some were sensible. I told her if it was stated on the NHS website in Britain that you cannot do it then you cannot do it as it was based upon scientific research. However if something isn't listed there but she couldn't take it due to old wives tales....then moderation and self regulation was the key.
The only thing I told her she cannot have during BFing were alcohol and caffeine for obvious reasons, peppermint, sage and parsley and any food manufactured in or originated from China or were mostly artificial chemicals. Anything and everything else in moderation.

Baby rash is normal.
Luckily for me, our baby has no rash at all..

Newborn's skin is sensitive, so sometimes if not lucky, baby will get rash.
but it shold go away on its own in time.

just keep it dry. and always clean up / wipe if baby spit up milk.

Good morning!

For heat rash,

It will generally goes away within a few days without treatment. However, see your baby's doctor is they have fever or the rash doesn't go away, looks worse or gets worse.

For eczema,

- You can try and give short and lukewarm baths ( between 5 - 10 mins ) and use gentle soaps
- Use think cream / ointment as a moisturizer twice a day
- Use fragrance-free laundry detergent designed for sensitive skin

For baby acne,

- Try washing your baby's face daily with a gentle soap
- Don't scrub hard or pinch the irritated areas
- Avoid lotions or oily face products

Hope this helps you! thumbup.gif

In my opinion, you must consult your doctor before applying any non-prescribed medications. Baby skin is more delicate and sensitive than matured skin..So, do not apply anything without medical advice

Is your baby drooling or milk residue touches his face? If yes, remember to wipe off the drool with damp clean handkerchief, then dab dry with facial tissue.
Buds soothing cream can be use on face but do apply very thin layer only.

Be sure you take photo's of the rashes differen times of the day so you can show it to your doctor when you visit.
Rashes can be cause by all kind of things I think the internet won't help you with this as there are too many posisbilities. take many photo's and try to exclude reasons for the rashes.
If you think he has allergy exclude al options. Like 2 days eat differently, 2 days give him different pillows (you can be allergic to fabric also) Maybe he is too hot, maybe he is too cold, it might be to humid, it might be too dry.
so basicaly Talk with your doctor a lot and try to find out what is causing it.

our own baby is most likely allergic to some fabric . we don't know what kind but . everytime we used a specific swaddle to dry him after showering he would get rashes, we stopped using that swaddeld and the rashes stopped.

Good to check if baby allergic - can be food, cloth or the sabun you use to wash the clothes also.

If baby not crying or in any pain you have time to try to find out what cause the problem
