Normally I'd suggest a GTX 1660 Ti, but the GTX1070 OC is a more compelling option, especially when you can get it for cheap.

GTX 1070 should be around 700-900 max only. Anything above that I'd recommend going for GTX 1660Ti for longer warranty. |

No such thing such as futureproof PC. Google Tom'sHardware GPU hierarchy to help you decide how high are you willing to go.
For 1.3k+ you can get RTX 2060. Top up another 400; For 1.7k + you can get the RTX 2060 Super. Top up again another 300; For 2.0k + you can bring home the RTX 2070 Super and you would be closer to the top. 😁 Sorry. Not TechPowerUp but Tom's Hardware. Thanks for the reply all!
Theres was no warranty for the GTX 1070 oc. Why the GTX1070 oc (1.9k) more expensive than the GTX 1660 ti ROG (1.5k) ? |

QUOTE(kesuki17 @ Oct 10 2019, 03:00 PM) GTX 1070 was more or less considered a high-end card when it first came out (before being superseded by the Turing cards), and the price reflects that. Not only that, but it has 8 GB of VRAM -- which is more than what the GTX 1660 Ti has. |

woaa if you'd like to buy a GTX1070 for RM950, i'll definately sell you mine!
second hand prices, youre looking at around RM700-800 for a GTX1070; as mentioned in an earlier post. for RM950, you'd be better off getting a secondhand GTX1660ti as they're better performing than a GTX1070 |

Future proofing means different things to different people.
One way of looking at it would be to compare to PS5 specs. You'd need CPU: 8 cores GPU: Has ray tracing and does 4K gaming MOBO: Has PCIE 4.0 Storage: SSD From the GPU above, sounds like you'd need the GALAX or Zotax RTX 2060, but that requires you to topup RM200. |

I would say go for it cause you may handle it anytime when you will want in exchange of other things. I do not realise anything like that could be done so easily this days. And honestly I am looking at the Radeons anyway. See my point ?

For Rm950 you can get a 1070ti. A 1070 should be closer to rm750

My monitor rate is 1080p. I don't mind topup if around RM 1,400 and specs is same or higher than GTX 1070.
Whats the difference between asus and zotac and galax brand? They are same performance? I think I will be considered for RX 2060 but which brand? This post has been edited by kesuki17: Oct 11 2019, 09:05 AM |

RX 580 used. Under 500 only
Looks like in most games also kept up with 1070 quite well especially those with vulkan and dx12 API. kudos to AMD for their driver update which shows big improvement. This post has been edited by yvliew: Oct 11 2019, 02:44 PM |

QUOTE(kesuki17 @ Oct 11 2019, 09:02 AM) Whats the difference between asus and zotac and galax brand? Go with Zotac. Here's why:Warranty Length: ASUS - 3 Years Zotac - 5 Years Warranty Term: ASUS - No, you can't remove the heatsink to install waterblock or clean the heatsink ZOTAC - You can do whatever you want with the GPU so long as you don't cause any physical damage to it |
