Actually the same amount of money saved by road users will eventually spent back into economy (expenditures, groceries, bills etc)

That money govt will get it some back via SST, taxes etc and this will be used to cover the cost of highway maintenance

Yes govt will need to spend RM20-30bil taking over it gradually from highway concessions holders but it's worth it at the end of day

And dont worry abt they myth that EPF (one of major highways co-owners) unable to pay higher dividends due to lack of tolls income because surely EPF will reinvest the takeover money and cant be toll income is their only income anyway

As time goes by more ppl ply highways, more car sales, more taxes collected than cost of maintenance itself (nett effect)

So finally this whole idea can repay, maintain by itself from the recouped taxes !

Aku punya lebih simple mudah baca... video panjang cai2 ngok malas tengok pula, data habis miskin etc

Car tax excise duties is around RM9-10 bil per year... maybe more or less enuff for highway maintenance cost
