Yea it will work, only advise I could give is, do consider MBP instead if your budget allows. Nothing wrong with the Macbook, but you will love the Macbook Pro more! Haha..

I tried Windows XP and Vista through Boot Camp and Parallels Desktop before on the stock model Apple MacBook (RM 4399 model), no hitches. But there was a slight lag in Parallels running XP. BTW: Parallels couldn't install Vista on my Apple MacBook because too little RAM. In Boot Camp, all no problem except the Vista lag.

I'm sorry for acting like this but apple byte's post count was taken away because of spam and unnecesary posts.....this thread, IMO, is unnecesary....

I did it all without reading anything. Follow your instinct. Quite easy to do it actually if you follow the on-screen words.

bootcamp ...is easy to use...but still, u need to read the manual before doing installation for XP....in order to prevent any problems happened...
anyway, parallel will share your ram to run your OS...let say, u hv 1GB ram in your mac. then it will be 512MB for Mac OS X and 512MB for xp...
since Vista need minimum 512MB, so...u need to be aware of this...but,recomend u to get original "XP" OS also...so that u can update your OS...or u might have other way to solve it...haha...
A lot of user which using windows OS in mac and complain the speed of windows is running slow in mac...actually, they did not update their windows...and they r using P****** software so this is the reason ...
btw, you will love to use Mac OS X ...unless u hv got some software which cannot be used in mac OS X...so u may need to switch to windows...
my advice...go for mac...

what's the reasons users want to have 2 OS on the same computer?
XP/Vista for games? OS for serious works?

P version or Ori version, both are same. It's not like the P version, all those libraries and etc, written in different ways which makes the whole thing slow like snail. Everything works the same way I suspect why they say slow, (1) might be GMA950 or (2) might be low ram. Other than that, everything is the same as normal generic pc, minus some hardwares of mac(isight cam) not working well in windows

QUOTE(ifer @ Jul 11 2007, 10:45 PM) what's the reasons users want to have 2 OS on the same computer? XP/Vista for games? OS for serious works? There are some applications that don't run on the Mac. In my case I use VMware Console and Garmin Mapsource among others, both don't exist on OSX. Games are definitely something that OSX lacks at this point in time, however the graphics on the Macbook aren't great to begin with for 3D games.
