No one is saying Ozil should stay? Oh you will be surprised at how many want him to stay.
*
there's a LOT of people that want him to stay. like, "Ozil will last longer than Emery" kind of stay.

i mean, why make a choice. get rid of both.

in all honesty, i'd like him to have Ozil on the bench if we dont have Tierney/Bellerin. i want ozil out, but if we're not capable of Emery's Plan A which is fullback overload, i'd rather we have a Plan B in the form of a creative mid in the middle. i'd rather he start Ceballos if he hates Ozil so much. honestly i dont care any more about Ozil. but my main gripe is no Torreira and no Ceballos. the continued persistence with Xhaka makes me want to pull my hair out. Guendo is fine, Xhaka if you REALLY want to play him i guess is fine, but no Torreira and no Ceballos.. come on, Emery.

i dont like Xhaka at all.

But if Emery doesnt see how bad he is and keeps playing him, I dont like Emery even more.

seriously if he plays Xhaka one more fucking time. almost feel sorry for Xhaka, because he's clearly not the level of player we want. but Emery keeps playing him.

this is probably the definitive #emeryout moment for me. i've always said i want to wait until we have Tierney/Bellerin in, and if we dont have both, then have Ceballos/Ozil in the middle as a creative outlet.

well we had Tierney, and we had Ceballos. and we still capitulated. and we still have Xhaka in the middle. at this point it's not even Xhaka's fault he's bad, it's Emery's fault he keeps playing.

People has been sabar with Xhaka for years now, yang depa boo bukan sebab permainan dia buruk semalam (although tak lah bagus mana pun jugak), tapi sebab dia slow nak keluar for substitution
*
boo mula makin kuat lepas dia baling armband kat aubameyang. fan mana tak marah tgk captain behave mcm tu

baru perasan we're playing pool in the league cup.

not sure if i should care about this match or not. maybe emery will send out his EL team for this. and i probably wont mind because it's not like our first team's miles better than our EL team

QUOTE(jamallj @ Oct 31 2019, 05:29 AM)
from my personal view.. theres nothing wrong with the defenders tonight.. apart from mustafi's own goal.. we could have easily won..

but what begs the question is why emery pulled out ozil and toreira when clearly saka and willock looked really tired and need to be replaced.. our chance of making changes was gone the moment colasinac asked to be replaced maybe because he couldn't continue..

guenduzi was not performing much.. i still think ozil can contribute much better in this game.. i am questioning emery's changes decision.. its like making changes out of no where..
*
probably looking to preserve Ozil for the PL. he probably prefers a 100% Ozil playing in the PL.

i'm fine with it tbh, means there's a chance for Ozil to start a PL game. given all that's happening with the club, i'd rather we see Ozil in the PL.

he better start Ozil in the PL.

Nope. He has a personal agenda. Ozil has not played for a long time. So playing a full match is essential for match fitness and confidence.

With the game at 4 4 . It's obvious he has to be still there.
*
we all know he has a personal agenda with Ozil, dont think we need a discussion on that. i just think the substitution signals he really sees Ozil as important for PL, and wants to reserve him for the PL.

whatever the agenda is, he needs to play Ozil in the PL, end of. especially after that substitution. i'm at the point where i'll be surpised if he starts Ozil, and i'll be surprised if he doesnt. have absoltely no idea what he'll do. probably depends on if Ozil smiles at him long enough in training.

before, i was too angry at Xhaka so i shifted anger to Emery for continuing to start him. he's not good enough.

now i'm too angry at Emery so i'm shifting the anger to the top management for keeping Emery. he's not good enough.

i'm seeing none of the high pressing Arsenal i saw when he first came in. now it's just Wenger-level dumb decisions with football worse than Wenger.

if we're just aiming to improve from Emery, then for sure Mou would be a good move.

but is he the best option. not just in terms of tactics, but man management? ego management? youth? Arsenal way of playing football? the 3rd season syndrome?

like i mentioned before, Xhaka's not good enough and it's Emery's fault he continues to play.

now it's obvious Emery's not good enough, it's on the board if Emery continues to manage Arsenal.

tbh i thought we had the right idea playing 3 at the back to suffocate their midfield of shooting chances. essentially playing a 3412 fits in theory to start ozil, auba and laca. but the problem was Ozil was pushed too far forward, almost like a Firmino, as the high presser and Auba/Laca were used as the inside forwards. Ozil's just not that kind of profile, Auba has the pace but dont regularly beat his man to reliably play there. Laca has the dribbles but not the pace. this formation relied on a fast break and using the full backs to counter. our offisde goal and a very good move in the first half was exactly this pattern, with kolasinac/ozil/auba linking up.

so i agree with the board's take that, up until the Vardy goal, Arsenal looked good and there was a definite improvement from the last games. but imo Emery thinks too much about the opposition, and less about his own set up which leads to confusion. this constant underdog mentality is not good enough for Arsenal.

so apparently the board are blaming the fans for negative atmosphere in the stadium, which leads to bad results.

like fuck me right, it's not like bad results lead to negative atmosphere or anything in the first place. semua salah fans

Wow. Where is the, source for that. I think any decent thinking person will stop supporting this club right now.

it's from an article from ol Ornstein on The Athletic, but since it's paywalled i'm going to c&p the summary of the article, taken from reddit.

QUOTE
The Athletic has learned the decision to remove the armband from Xhaka and then hand it to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has divided opinion inside the North London club.

Although Xhaka’s popularity has always been mixed among Arsenal supporters, who seemed to take a particularly dim view of the 27-year-old Switzerland midfielder being appointed as permanent skipper in September, he was generally well-regarded by players and staff.

Some within the set-up, therefore, believe Xhaka has been “thrown under the bus” internally following his actions as he was substituted during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last month.

Others, however, intimate that by storming away from the Emirates Stadium after that incident and declining to privately apologise to his colleagues, he has lost much of their respect.

On November 2, it is understood he was involved in a heated exchange with a team-mate.

Unlike Unai Emery’s original call to give Xhaka the captaincy, when the squad were polled as part of the process, on this occasion, they did not formally contribute and most of them found out Aubameyang was the new skipper via the head coach’s news conference ahead of last week’s Europa League tie away to Vitoria.

There is a feeling this sentiment, rather than public pressure, played a key role in ending Xhaka’s tenure; the sense being that he could well have retained the armband if he had said sorry to his peers.

The 30-year-old striker is said to have irritated some people by developing a relationship with AFTV, the YouTube channel that calls itself the “Unofficial Voice of Arsenal fans around the world”.

Many at the club believe the growth of AFTV, formerly known as ArsenalFanTV, has contributed to an upsurge in negativity towards the team and specific players from sections of the support.

Sources suggest Aubameyang was “so smart” to strike up a rapport with the channel and express a view that in “promoting” the content, he is effectively endorsing and encouraging more of it to be produced, and making himself immune to criticism even if his performance level drops.

The Gabon international appearing to “like” a number of contentious AFTV posts on Instagram, including one in June criticising Emery and another in September calling for Xhaka to be sold in the next transfer window, is said to have left team-mates and staff unimpressed.

Apparently, Aubameyang has also been asked to stop engaging with one of AFTV’s contributors, ‘Troopz’. It is claimed that complaints have been lodged about Aubameyang inviting the supporter to watch games from his executive box, which is situated in the same quadrant of the ground that houses the majority of other player boxes and is intended for use by family and friends.

The club are understandably keen to extend his deal, but it is thought the player would prefer to see if his side qualify for next season’s Champions League before making a commitment.

and this is from Arseblog's tweet. not sure where the original article is from, maybe someone can help us with that.
