so what would have to happen for you to accept Emery again?

imo the main thing that Emery needs to improve if he is to stay as Arsenal manager, is the defensive stability in terms of defenders and midfielders. there's no confidence in the team right now, there's no attacking identity, whatever high pressing Emery introduced early in his Arsenal career has gone i dont know where.

IMO the goals are always going to be there when we have players like Auba, Laca, Pepe and Ozil. but when the team's constantly getting attacked these guys are not going to get the ball enough to even start an attack.

so in my opinion, if Emery tightens up and we start getting clean sheets in at least 3 out of the next 5 games, i'm willing to just let Emery stay.

do i think it's possible? big fat no, and i want him out. but if Emery wants to keep his job, imo start by massively improving the defensive structure of the team, because i'm not as worried about the goals when you have a worldclass poacher in Auba and the other guys.

bellerin and tierney together finally. i'm guessing unai wants to use them to bomb forward and provide width, and let ozil/auba/laca work the center.

but in reality we'll be having problems working the ball anywhere and end up with 7 defenders and only 3 attackers.

Lacazette's face when he scored was the same as mine.

like okay, you scored, but you probably kept Unai in the job for another week.

but surely a loss, or even a draw against lowly Norwich would end Emery. only an idiot would keep persisting with the current stale state of the club. Raul and Edu dont strike me as idiots.

In a sense they are. Or maybe they are not. They are just yes man who takes order from the top. Just like most people are to be honest. They are just there to do the job that's all.

And you dun seem too intelligent to be honest.

yikes, that's a bit too personal of an attack dont you think? now i'm kinda curious why you're angry.

Whoever sounds a bit on the #emeryin #emerystay camp will trigger him. Im not on enerystay camp but i think the problem of lack of real quality reinforcement in middle and defence.

In fact if emery is the one behind signing up gervinho 2.0 for 70 mil pound. He should be sack for that scam
*
hahaha, ahhhh now i get it. it's probably because of my devil's advocate post before the game about "what should emery do if he wants to stay".

fair enough, i think i did hint on my opinion on emery, but i probably shouldve made it loud and clear. i'm pretty firmly in the #emeryout camp, but my anger has evolved from towards Emery, to the management. I've long since accepted Emery is a limited manager and he's not the level that we need. just imagine letting your drunk friend drive the car, then getting angry at your friend for causing an accident. you're the idiot for not taking charge and driving the car yourself. similarly, getting angry at Emery who's not a top level manager will lead us nowhere. he's not going to voluntarily leave is he? the board needs to sack him.

for me, emery out is not negotiable. no arsenal fan that actually watches games are going to argue. but since the board are not making any moves to sack him, i was wondering what would need to happen in the next 5 games in order for Emery to at least say, he deserves to stay. essentially, the core of the question was asking what is the main thing that needs to improve for us, and in my opinion it's the defensive stability. because we cant create attacks if we keep getting dispossessed playing out the back etc. i dont think attack is the main problem, because we just have guys that can score. defending, it's a team effort.

The thing is, anyone who hires Emery after this round is really an idiot unless you are a semi pro side that do not play professionally. Funnily, the longer he stays, the more he is actually shooting himself in his foot. For just 3 million, he wants to damage his reputation further and tells the whole world that he is a club destroyer.
*
no problem, it's a simple misunderstanding, pretty common on the internet. but yeah, i agree with this too, he's just damaging his own reputation. his implosion at PSG and now at Arsenal, dont really think he'll get another shot at top level management.

News said board are considering punai position.

been hearing news on Arteta too, with Pep talking about wanting Arteta by his side but wont stand in his way if he wants to go, "at the end of the season".

he's bald, should've known he's a fraud.

jokes aside, i'm reserving judgement until the game goes live. but i have a terrible feeling. hopefully the new manager bounce is real
