Hi all,

I noticed one thing in Agoda.

We book a hotel room, say RM100 (inclusive of tax & other charges) for one night.

If we want to book 3 nights, the price for 3 nights should be RM300, right?

However, I noticed that if we book for 2 nights, the price per night would increase. It increases even more for 3 nights.

In short, the more nights we book, the more expensive the price becomes.

Anyone notice this? Any reason behind this?

sometimes, friday & weekends & the start of holidays are more expensive than weekdays. You can just select 1 day and see the exact price for 1 day.

Oh... I never thought of that. I only saw the "price per night" increased if I selected for more than 1 day.

I just checked day by day and it ended up with the same price.

Thanks for clearing my doubt.

Yes, hotel rates are not the same flat rate each day...

Yes. You are right.

But last week I made a booking for 2 days. Since 2 days are more expensive, I book one day + one day and it ended up cheaper than booking 2 days at once. Cheaper by about RM30 if I'm not wrong... 😅

Really? now that's interesting.. I book on Agoda quite often but haven't seen this yet

Yes. Both days are of the same price.

Probably price increasing only happen on 3rd day. I can't recall correctly as after making 2 bookings, I decided to book other hotel at other location.

Provided it's the same room type.

Better if u send an email to the hotel to remind them that you have booked individual nights and tell them to arrange for u to stay in the same room consecutively.

Or else the staff may not know about it and might arrange for u to stay in different rooms on different nights and as a result, u have to check out and check in again.

I booked for homestay. Hence I think this problem would not arise...

Thanks everyone for clearing my doubt.
