Kerengga is kerengga, semut api is semut api. 2 different kind

kerengga nampak saja besar, but no power one. gigit macam mana pun tak sakit langsung

semut api on the other hand smaller than kerengga less than half but when kena bite, fuh damn gatal weh....

i say leave the kerengga be, they are harmless and are a good bunch of cleaners just like any ants.

masa aku budak, depan belakang rumah ada pokok mangga, dah biasa main kerengga merah - squashed, cooked, boiled, lastik, rejam with needle etc done many things. their bite is seriously weak as fuark i think even fish bite is more painful than a kerengga bite. at most it felt like an itch, nothing more.

of course i have to specifically say kerengga MERAH. if it is black in colour that one you avoid just like semut api.

just like any other ants, they eat your rubbishes, animal carcasses etc

i find it pretty inntriguing when we have /k complaint that kerengga merah bite is painful, which is very different from my own experience.

if kerengga merah bite is painful i think you might die from kerengga hitam and semut api bites.
