it doesn't matter for msians, as the msian passport has NO surname, so you can put anything any order you want as surname....

because 80% of the population has no surname anyway....malays, many s&s natives and tamil indians...

the msian passport does not follow the icao convention of << sign separating surname from given name, so technically the whole name is the surname....and there is no given name....

Malaysian passport don't follow the convention anyway.

Though I'm curious about how Singapore & Indonesia do it with theirs.. hmm.gif

it does to some extend, if you are travelling to a country which requires APIS submission....i can NEVER check in online with sq to oz....as the system will reject due to ETA name difference...don't seem to have this problem with mh/d7/qf/ek....

Yup...experience this when go oversea

Cibai have to fit my whole 4 word name in last name box to follow passport standard
