There is this programme called extended profile by psiloc... But you have to purchase this programme in order to use it. Unless you manage to crack the file. tongue.gif I've tried the programme and i dont really like it as it makes my phone much slower.

Great for you to get a N70 for free. Well, let me try to answer your question one by one.

I'm not too sure how much the cable cost, but it's not that expensive.. perhaps around Rm30-50? Just an rough estimation, haven't been back home for more than 8 months.

You can download the pc suite from nokia's website if im not mistaken. Do some gooling.

You can get thoe DV RSMMC for your N70 at any handphone/computer shops... But if it's possible, try getting kingmax cause it wont lag so much compared to the other brands.

Cut the part of the song you want using a muic editor programme, save it in .mp3 format, send it to your phone via BT, or cable and your good to go... For those editting programmes, again google is your best friend.

For changing wall paper, you go to Tools, select themes, then edit your current theme, select the image you want to use as your wallpaper. Or go directly to your phone gallery, find the image u want to use, and there'll be set as wallpaper option.

The silver button next to the mmc slot functions as the camera shutter button during landscape mode.

@ddafan8

You can get a mmc card practically anywhere, in LYP, electronic stores,computer shops... ranges around RM100-120 depending on brands.

What happened during the firmware update? your internet connection was down? The best thing you can do now is to bring your phone to a Nokia service center if your phone is original, if not bring it back to the shop where you bought your phone. They should be able to help.

@ others

I just realised that after you made/answered a call, the radio will resume but not the music player. Is it something wrong with my ME firmwawre or it's like that? Pardon my noobness, because i never use my phone as a music player, just want to drain the battery before charging.

I tried changing the product code to APAC region as i need the chinese writing ability..

Everything was fine, update process was successful but when the phone restarted after the update, i can only see box characters. My previous product code was russian region as im studying here.

No choice but to revert back to the old russian firmware. No idea what went wrong.. Hish...

@zac

U mentioned that in IE firmware the music player is not so good? What's the diff in the music player of ME compared to IE?

Added on June 29, 2007, 5:32 pm
I found out the prob of the box characters. I've a programmed called 123 MMC fonts installed in my phone to recognise chinese characters. I cant seem to uninstall it. Anybody can give me some tips?

I think that's the main cause why those box characters appear after reflashing my phone no matter it's APAC ME firmware or the new IE firmware Zac gave.

Not really. Just make sure the source you're downloading are trustable. So far i've not encountered any problems. Usually virus get into the phone thru BT transmission.

As you requested me to write the prob here.

I can't seem to open up the music player application by pressing the music key. Im running on v5.0705.3.0.1 I tried restoring factory settings as you suggested but it's still the same. I also can't open up my gallery.

Any suggestion ?

If im not mistaken, IE is based on the taiwan or china firmware. Not too sure about that. Nothing too special, just a dedicated opera browser and yahoo messenger.. Tried it just for a few minutes... Still prefer the ME.

@zac

Cool down dude... we all know you contributed a lot for this club. Anyway do you know any MP3 playing programme that will continue automatically after any incoming/outgoing phone calls? I'm using power MP3 1.01 currently and it'll pause when there's incoming calls... which i really hate. Thanks in advance.

Mine can last at least 2 days when i use the phone heavily.. You bought a new phone? Perhaps you should bring it back, or like what others mentioned, change a new ori batty.
