Looking at how all our players attack headers, I can safely say they don't practice them in training. None of them do. Rudi, christensen, tammy, zouma, azpi, all have brain farts when they see a perfect cross fizzed towards their heads. You can bet your bottom dollar if NO DEFENDERS were around, they'd still fail to hit the target. I'm convinced they don't practice them at all, so why bother? May as well work on low crosses instead if everyone's so incapable. Tammy had 2 shocking misses in my book, where the pace of the ball was perfect, all he needed to do was head it away from the keeper, from 6 - 8 yards out. Instead what you get are two flawless 'defender' type headers where its basically a back pass and the keeper doesn't even have to move.
Apart from that, how shocking is kepa's distribution these days? Almost all his clearances never cross the halfway line and drop to an opponent's feet. Under sarri, he was ice cold on the ball, and you can expect 2,3 attacks being started off by a well placed long pass to our LB/RB or winger. Now he just clears everything like some championship level mug,and he's terrified of making a pass longer than 5 yards! The new goal keeping coach who's working with kepa just isn't good enough, because hes' getting worse and we seem to be playing to his weaknesses instead.
That bellerin shot sure as hell looked saveable. I know on reddit they posted an image of his positioning which doesn't seem to be too bad, but I'd argue he took waaayy too long to move his feet and adjust accordingly when he saw him cutting in to take a shot.
