On this whole Kante Jorgi thing. It really depends on the manager's tactic. With Lampard's style, he don't need a Gattuso type of dmf. He prefers 1 deep lying that passes well, and 2 box to box midfielder. Or 1 deep lying that passes well and 1 box to box. That's why even when we see he play 3 in mf, Kante will play box to box role.

With Kante's recent injury record, and also provided if he felt wants to leave, I would honor it. BUT, for the right price. And also we need another dmf that is like a Gattuso. In case we need a plan B. When we come up against an opposition that requires a bullish dmf. For now I think James can do it. Or we need a man marker dmf, for that interestingly I feel Mount can be a good man marker ala Herrerra type of midfield.

Tldr, if the price is right, Kante wants to leave, and we can have a replacement, not necessarily a big name, then I am ok for Kante to leave.

It will be a big gamble no doubt. But hiring Lampard is already a gamble and so far I like what I'm seeing.

Leicester pushing for CL slot, Chillwel is not in a hurry to leave. Timo Werner pushing for starter spot in Euros, leaving now and adapting to a new league is a big gamble for him. So is Sancho. The players we want are in no hurry to leave.

Which might be good also. Give more time to do research and homework properly. Instead of just diving in and sign players simply. I think for now, most feasible to sign is Ake. But he's not really what we need now imo.

Also how are we replacing Giru? This more concerning. Bats is just meh as backup. Now no more Giru. Depend on youth ka

In this game, it can be seen in the first half that the team is quite confident in ball-playing, even though the number of shots are lacking.

However the confidence level somehow dropped (i guess?) in the second half, where HC took most possession while we defend like crazy until Tomori help to give us bit of a cushion

For the goals conceded, imo it was a weird mistake from Kova when he turned his body while jumping during HC’s freekick being taken, causing a deflection sufficient enough to confuse Willy.
Few points to note,

Alonso was somewhat good in this game. Good up until the point he gave away the freekick that lead to HC’s goal.

Pedro on the other hand was just plain bad (except for his pace. Dude got stamina yo). Guess his time is finally up.

CHO performed like the old days. Except maybe he needs to practice his finishing touches. With a little bit more practicing and experiences gained, he could be our own ‘Sancho’ imo.

All in all, it can be said that the team still struggle in killing games off. Lamps might need to instil this to the team, i.e. try to kill the game in the first half lol

Anyway, just enjoy the win. Hopefully it boosts the team morale to face tougher fixtures ahead. For now, we advance to the next round of the FA cup!
