What a performance!! Simply amazing, I'm just shocked by how good our composure was throughout the whole match, willy just having his best 90 minutes this season, and did spurs even have a shot on target??

How badly we needed this, that feeling of failing to win against any top 6 team was surely begin to creep into the minds of the players, especially the younger ones. This win just comes at the perfect time,let's push on from here!

Jose's plan was always trying to hit us on the break but we starved them off possession for long periods, they looked completely clueless when they actually won the second ball.

A lot of our good attacking moves went through mount who rediscovered his form at the right time (or this formation simply suits him better?)

Lots of our great defensive work came from rudi, love his aggressiveness and the way he barrels into challenges he knows he'll win. Kurt is probably half way there, but a bit more tenacity from tomori would be nice. You could see the spurs players just pulling out of challenges because they knew rudi was getting there first, so they didn't want to get clattered. The way he told off alli for pushing him into kepa, it just set the tone for the rest of the guys that we weren't taking shit from anyone.

His clean but aggressive challenge on Son annoyed him so much that the latter lashed out in frustration and was rightfully sent off.

I think this is an element we severely missed at times this season and last, just a little less of that nice guy attitude will get everyone else to take it up a notch. Guys like JT, riccy, brana, malouda, essien, didier,ballack, heck even lamps himself had that little extra on the pitch and opponents knew they were in for a battle from the first challenge.

What else needs to be said about willian today? The man can turn it on when he wants to, CHO should be taking notes from his best showing this season. His lung capacity is unbelievable, he was taking on people even late in the game and that beautiful touch and pass to michy was as brazilian as they get. It seems like forever since his last 'quick touch and curl' into the corner, our wingers need to practice more of those. Smashing goal.

Last but not least, u have to tip your hat to lamps, he executed our gameplan flawlessly. Yes the sending off helped, but apart from a short 5,6 minute spell that spurs had when we were 1 nil up, they never really looked like threatening us. Kepa had one of his most comfortable evenings and that's saying something.

Note : Jose can complain about it all he wants, but deep down he'll know rudi got under Son's skin, fairly. Did he make a meal of it? To a certain extent yes, but name me a player who'll absolutely ignore an opponent who tries to kick you like that,and makes contact. He was never getting away with that, and Son knows it.

Looked up his stats when I knew I shouldn't have but he's quietly having his best season in the bundesliga with 23 goals and 10 assists in 25 matches (all domestic competitions - 18 in the league, 3 in the CL and 2 in the german Cup) which is AMAZING for a 23 year old. Those 10 assists in particular have really sold me and I think if we want elite level competition for tammy or even a partner upfront (though lamps still hates the idea), this is it.

The difficult thing for either timo or even sancho is the fact that they're having the season of their lives, hence if we wait till the end of the season, prices are only gonna be more insane.
