I think the verbal verification is just for a selected ppl, but a must for everyone. Part of quality control / assurance / fraud check.
Bro I don't understand this contradictory part Interactive Brokers (IBKR), IBKR users, welcome!

Is anyone facing issues getting the validation code (sent to handphone via SMS) during login into IBKR?
The code either comes late or not at all (and I have to keep trying until it does). |

QUOTE(Rama522 @ Aug 7 2021, 05:36 PM) it did happen to me occasionally. so had to refresh the page to get the authentication. think its latency issue. Most probably due to maintenance. Use IB Keys instead. Thanks so much for your replies! My findings: 1. Call option works everytime and almost instantly 2. IB Keys with Iphone FaceID works almost instantly too Thanks again ! tadashi987 liked this post

Guys I have a noob question here:
I have deposited funds into IBKR (more than a week ago). But when I want to perform a trade I get this message (CASH AVAILABLE SETTLED CASH): 0.00; CASH NEEDED FOR THIS ORDER AND OTHER PENDING ORDERS: XXX.XX). I certainly have more money deposited than the requirement for the order. Can I know what's causing it? I suspect that it's because I deposited in SGD, but have not converted the currency into USD yet. Is that the reason ? |

QUOTE(Rama522 @ Aug 13 2021, 09:09 PM) Yeah, for cash account, u need to convert them into corresponding currency. Again, you have to wait another T+2 days for the cash to settle after fx conversion. Thanks, somehow my order went through the same day as the conversion (actually several hours afterwards). Rama522 liked this post

Just noticed today that CIMB SG has a daily max of SGD 3000 transfer, when I was trying to make a transfer from CIMB SG into IBKR.
Has anyone looked into increasing the daily max, if at all possible? |

Did anyone receive update emails from Wise about reduced fees?
Seems like good news, a reduction of ~8.8%. QUOTE The fees for your MYR transfers have changed So, when you send 10,000 MYR to SGD your new fee will be 51.74 MYR Your current fee is 56.72 MYR |

Has anyone tried transferring USD from a USD denominated account in Malaysia to IBKR?
Just wondering if there are any issues to know about. |

Hi guys
For holders of dividend stocks from SGX (e.g. DBS) purchased via IBKR, how is the dividend paid out? |

QUOTE(TOS @ Aug 9 2024, 08:49 PM) Heyo, I am about to open a directly-registered share account with Air Liquide. Nice! Mind sharing why you’re doing this? Better to be directly registered instead of via IBKR? In this case you still purchase via IBKR first then do some sort of conversion?I emailed Air Liquide shareholder service department this morning, and submitted the proof of details for my Wise EUR account and they accepted that! I am not yet a shareholder but they begin their email with "Dear shareholder" Lovely French... ![]() |
