thanks to this resourceful thread, i have open another broker for more stock options, i have etoro for the bluechips
just to share my experience, i've opened IB thru TSG, and got verified in a week, then deposited the funds via instarem. i transferred via m2u at 7am and the funds got thru to IB at 10am same day, super fast! .. and best of all the fee is super low (rm10).. there is a guide written in medium blog that detailed every step, props to the author.
Golden question from here. Can u trade fractional shares?
Regarding Trading 212, those with TW Borderless Account should be able to use it without dealing with the high transaction costs/fees of local banks right?
i have been using Trading212 for past few weeks. basically good stuff:
a) accessible to US, Europe (not fully) b) no maintenance fee c) fractional shares. (from USD1) d) no transaction fees e) easy to deposit money (use BIGPAY debit card for almost @ spot live rate) f) option for CFD account. i did not explore it yet
overall, great brokerage with everything laid out clearly If ur a small amount investor who doesn't want misc fees and inconvenience, trading212 is the way to go
Basically, easy forward to open acc. doc needed : Passport, Bank account statement, utility bills. Most important of all, name and address must same and correspond to you what you have registered.

Did you noticed the spread was high? I noticed their price can be different to ibkr/google. Might just be data delay, I'm not sure. I've open an acc with them a month back but haven't deposited, worried how to withdraw. If you can test, that would be great, particularly withdraw to bank account or credit card/debit card other than bigpay.
i will probably try when i needed later.but not anytime soon Ya off course it works on spread (no commision). what i noticed it spread is slightly lower than etoro..
Seems like the withdrawal can only be done through the channel you funded your deposit.
Meaning, you will have to fund through TW to be able to receive through TW. Anyway, is there anyone else using Trading212? Should we create a thread there? Not so nice discussing about it here in IBKR thread.
ya, seems to be that way. i have not tried withdrawing with different means . T212 technically it's backed by IBKR , but yeah should have its own thread not to be confused with
Last question, country specific ibkr is just basically following the host country law right. It doesn't matter if I open a sg ibkr or UK ibkr as I have read online so far?
hey man, juz watch as below. everything u need to know and question answered
Basically just fill in the routing and account number at Wise.
As below how I fill in.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Reference is your account number at IBKR, account number is also unique to you, then routing just follow. In your screenshot got the details liao if u notice. I notice the address is missing now after choosing in IBKR.. But should be allright if use Ziet address. They likely remove it from the website maybe is extra info only. Most important acc number routing etc will able to deposit the money already. So far I send like this all ok.
Account type at Wise choose send to Business/organization, then choose "checking". Address also follow what Ziet mentioned in his video. Pause his video if he too fast till u get it.
For Wise to IBKR transfer make sure u keep all your receipt. Because the fund is coming from 3rd party which is Wise. Got ppl kena audit from IBKR before where they ask him where the fund came from and show proof is his own money. If transfer from CIMB SG to IBKR then no need worry.
I use Wise to IBKR also coz easier. I keep all my receipts: maybank to Wise, Wise to IBKR in my Dropbox folder so phone also can access.
Once u succeed do this once.. Can repeat same transfer again by saving it in Wise for next time.. So don't have to retype all over again. After first transfer u will confident liao. First time only hard, later is easy peasy.
If you scare, transfer small amount like few bucks first. Once confirm went through then transfer bigger amount. Will need +1 biz day before IBKR will update your account for fund receive.
In IBKR setting make sure change fee rate to Tiered instead of Fixed. Default is Fixed rate which is more expensive for most of us.
thanks man, yeah i juz proceeded as Ziet's method. thanks
Money's in after 1working days, ex sat/sun. So yes, ziets method still works

Hi everyone, may I ask I had problems with using Direct ACH Transfer from your Bank. I had press get the instruction but I got no address details as shown in Zeit youtube video. So how do I deposit via Wise if no such details?
juz follow his guide. mine got tru, juz done it last week
again, financial part is only 1/3 story of a stock, the other remaining are understanding the biz and management. buy something that you are familiar with.
if indeed market prices are mismatched, you may hav found some value
i would like to check, by depositing in SGD, typically what is the spread for auto conversion of SGD->USD in IBKR?
i did some WISE comparison, a) if USD was converted first in wise account, charges come up to around (0.54%) , and after that transferring into IBKR is usd1.13 regardless of any amount b) by depositing MYR and IBKR doing the transfer, the charges come up to (0.7%) , and it gets lesser with more amount deposited)

kucingfight for Wise, i recommend you manually convert MYR->EUR in Wise (forgot the fee). and then send the EUR to IBKR (FOC). you'll save the USD1.13
if you are on cash account (not margin), IBKR will auto convert to USD for a fee of 0.03% when you buy. else use Recurring to buy stocks, then IBKR will auto convert for free to USD
thanks, yes, i read through ur replies by converting to Euro first, if it's 0.03%, it's the most economical way it will get
i did some check in wise, if converting to MYR-Euro, the charges is around (0.52%) , so basically, saving (USD1.13 & 0.02% if converting USD) , but the saving may become insignificant when the transfer amount gets bigger, as the USD1.13 is a one time fee.

kucingfight all deposits to IBKR not under an account in your name is treated as money laundering except Wise
In fact wise deposits prior to direct IBKR-Wise integration in 2021-2022 is rejected or has complications also. Below is how it used to be last time 👇
