Uhm I opened my account just after the pandemic started... somewhere like March-April 2020... I told them I will just buy blue chip stocks and stick to good quality companies and told them those battered down stock prices on SGX and NYSE are eye-watering laugh.gif

Maybe you lack a sweet mouth. laugh.gif

This time you can tell them, uhmm I bet US election results will make market more volatile... if stock prices tank, can generate some alpha brows.gif

Bad news for Nestle lol

QUOTE
Nestle SA downgraded its sales outlook for the year saying the impact of pricing had eased off faster than expected.

Nestle now expects sales to grow at least 3%, lower than the roughly 4% it had previously targeted. The world’s biggest food company has struggled to win back market share after inflation pushed shoppers to cheaper brands.

Revenue rose 2.1% in the first half, compared with 2.5% expected by analysts, the Swiss company said Thursday.

This week I have $139 left after a trade. I can probably buy 1 share of BIL but it'll incur $0.35.

Previously I can just buy $139 of my money market fund. No taxes and no transaction cost. If I receive $30 dividends, I can just add $30 to the fund. But now I can't because of the $10,000 minimum.
VMFXX appears to incur taxes. It doesn't look pretty after tax. See below. Anyway, IBKR now requires $10,000 for any money market buy transaction so it won't work.

Hi, so did you manage to find a solution to this problem? I've been using tiger sg and very happy with their mmf features but looking to diversify using another trading app. Reading this about IBKR is quite a letdown, tbh.

Can you transfer 30k from one MY bank through Wise to ibkr, and let's say 30k from another MY bank through SG bank to ibkr?

30k MYR is due to the FPX limit?

But in any case sure why not, the SG bank route should be cheaper than the Wise route though...

I tried 2x RM30k with Wise to SG Bank before in one day. No problem, no flag, no hold or request for docs.
MoneyMatch will ask me submit doc/bank statement online for savings/salary type though.

Most of the time is just transfer once a day.

IBKR started charging GST on IBKR LLC users who are SG tax residents lol

https://www.reddit.com/r/singaporefi/commen...d_charging_gst/

Luckily I am still registering my identity with my Malaysian passport and never tell them my SG FIN number.

It's good to be BOTH MY and SG tax residents eh laugh.gif

Medufsaid can you help confirm if recurring investment on UCITS are still as low as 0.18 USD, or they have raised it to the standard 1-2 USD per trade charges?

Yup. So there is no point doing recurring investment now right, given the same commissions charged as a typical ETF purchase on LSE?

recurring allows you to save on $2 conversion fees. and also clearing + exchange fees. $0.21
QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Mar 12 2024, 08:39 AM)
tested LSE fares by buying
  • 1st batch manually @ $xxx.00
Was charged $1.91, so tallies with my excel calculations (commission + exchange fees + clearing fees)
  • 2nd batch via RSP @ same price
Only charged $1.70, so I guess exchange and clearing weren't charged
both same ETF
