If IBKR UK, then yes. Otherwise, it probably won't work.
I also have an IBKR acc, but not activated. Tried many times to connect to TSG, only to realise it doesn't work.
live data?
thanks for the replies guys.
Interactive Brokers (IBKR), IBKR users, welcome!

QUOTE(Yggdrasil @ Apr 2 2020, 05:21 PM) Should have futures and CFDs. If i dont subscribe market data package for the instruments i wish to trade, ibkr dont allow me to open trade. I don't subscribe. You can use MarketWatch to view live prices then key in your limit order. You can move your IBKR to TradeStation Global. Instructions are on TradeStation Global website. U can move your ibkr acc to tradestation IF your ibkr is not IBKR LLC. |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 1 2020, 11:16 PM) Depends on you. I was comparing my brokerage charges and the IKBR + Instarem. My brokerage charges USD24 + some miscellaneous. Instarem forex fees is around RM90++.If you like paying more per exchange of currency, pay dividend fees and pay quarterly platform fees why not? I don't like to give banks free money hence they will never earn my money. |

I found the link at Tradestation int on IB migrations.
![]() then I follow the steps until I bump into one error ![]() so I go into the settings and found this which Im not sure should I "uncheck" it? or which options should I enable / disable? ![]() I actually wrote an email to them( Tradestation) , end up the US office replying me but they seems not so helpful on this, ask me to check with IB, which I have online chat with IB, they throw the ball to TDS my IB account just got approved, so I'm not sure those settings will do any harm or not.. hahaha |

QUOTE(moosset @ Feb 23 2020, 11:53 PM) meaning, IBKR can accept SGD, HKD, EUR, just not USD, from InstraRem, Transferwise. sifu, i hav TW borderless account of USD, EURO and NZD. may I know where u can check if IBKR can accept NZD and GBP. you actually don't need a S'porean bank acc. https://transferwise.com/gb/swift-codes/IBKRUS33XXX this above link, is it mean we can also withdraw fund to our transferwise but not in USD? Please share ur experience using TW on deposit and withdraw, like how many hours or days. |

For IB, transactions cost only like USD2. Not to mention no quarters platform fees which Malaysian brokers will charged certain percentage. Every broker different so you need to find out how much your broker charging you. Erregaeding the fees for instarem, don't look at at it. Use xe.com Check the amount you will received for say usd5k Then check back with the bank if you want to use bank. Personally I never use bank to transfer money. Why pay more? Even with the fees calculated, I will still get cheaper than what bank charged me. |

For newbies, just login to the website (and later also go to the platform), click on every button that you see. You'll discover a lot of features.
Just don't simply BUY anything. QUOTE(David900924 @ Apr 3 2020, 08:46 AM) sifu, i hav TW borderless account of USD, EURO and NZD. may I know where u can check if IBKR can accept NZD and GBP. Log in on the website. Click "transfer fund" and select your currency. Instructions will be there. Again, this is something easily discovered if you just login to the website. All these internationally traded currencies like AUD, NZD, GBP etc, definitely no problem lah.... Just don't expect them to accept MYR!! (with all due respect to myr) QUOTE(David900924 @ Apr 3 2020, 08:46 AM) https://transferwise.com/gb/swift-codes/IBKRUS33XXX so far, no one has shared their experience regarding this. You may try it and let us know. this above link, is it mean we can also withdraw fund to our transferwise but not in USD? I think it would work for USD withdrawal, but I haven't tried it yet. |

It feels like the difference between how Ramjade and I manage our IBKR accounts can be summarised as follows:
1. Ramjade tries to minimize/eliminate all his costs, incurring some inconvenience along the way. 2. I go for convenience, incurring cost while I'm at it. Interesting. Newbies would probably be better off somewhere in the middle. |
