I just use investing.com for it. |

Hi Sifus, apologies if this has been asked before. May I know if there are any difference in tools/functionality between IBKR/IBKR TSG (whitelabel) besides fees? I'll be putting in less than USD100k.
IBKR whitelabel have access to the same shares as IBKR? |

I'll be putting in less than USD100k. With TSG, you can use TSG's software to trade (very complicated) or use IBKR's app/software.IBKR whitelabel have access to the same shares as IBKR? Everything else is the same. However, I believe you cannot buy fractional shares with TSG. Only pure IB is allowed. IBKR account minimum requirement to open is lower compared to $10,000 previously. Now it's $0 or $2000 for margin account. However, if your account value is <$100,000, you will be subjected to monthly fee of $10 (commissions can reduce this payment). TSG doesn't charge you monthly fee only if your account maintains a certain amount per month. Edit: Found the post https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...post&p=96388746 TSG also charges additional 2.5% on top of IBKR's rate. I.e. if IBKR charges 0.5% to borrow EUR, TSG charges you 3.0% (0.5% + 2.5%). This post has been edited by Yggdrasil: Aug 15 2020, 11:52 PM |

Hi all,
I would like to open and did some reading but i might asking same question as other cause i get confuse. I try to list down my understanding and please let me know if i am wrong. 1.I had created CIMB SG (our main function for oversea or SG bank is to receive fund from IBKR if we want to quit and withdraw) 2. There is 3 option in first page, which i interested is 1 and 2. We need to get white label to avoid the inactivity fees but with higher in commission. I assume white label = TSG ? Once register TSG, we can log in to all IKBR ? Will we able to see live quote when trading? 3. Deposit to IKBR best option is MYR > IKBR via bigpay? (not workable?) or this is the only workable option which is MY bank>SG bank > SG bank top up to Bigpay and bigpay transfer to IKBR (to save transaction fees as using SG bank to IKBR i assume higher charges?) I am new, and want to do testing in US market, maybe i just try 1k USD. Please let me know the best option suggested. Thank you |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Aug 17 2020, 11:03 PM) Hi all, 1. not to receive but to fund too, thou ones here tested can straight fund IBKR SG with Instarem SGD, but who know this might be closed in the future, it is good to have SG Bank account also so to park your SGD for other investment opportunity through FSM SG etc.I would like to open and did some reading but i might asking same question as other cause i get confuse. There are other whitelabel for IBKR, but most of us go for TSG. Yes you can login to IBKR using ur TSG acocunt, it is IBKR account anyway, just that the pricing is following your introducing broker which is TSG. No live quote unless you subscribe to it. Check the live price through elsewhere e.g. investing.com or cnbc. 3. IBKR doesn't accept funding through MYR. You can do: (A) Bigpay/Instarem/Transferwise (just whichever rate is best when you transfer) SGD to IBKR SG Citibank, you will ge the funding instruction and IBKR SG citibank account info when you initiate funding in IBKR client portal. (B) Or you can do the former way, just that with one more layer, which is BigPay (etc.) to SG bank, then SG bank to IBKR. I do this since safer and more secured in personal opinion. There is no straight funding through Bigpay MYR to IBKR. And, funding through SG bank to IBKR doesn't involve any fee. This post has been edited by tadashi987: Aug 17 2020, 11:16 PM |

For the 2nd question, meaning either the people direct register ibkr or we go through whitelabel tsg we purchase in delayed quote ?which website is the best for live if trade US market? Abit messy if we see live from other and order from ibkr? I thought ibkr like Malaysia rakuten, mplus, Itrade cimb etc which provide live quote. |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Aug 17 2020, 11:57 PM) Thanks for the answer. Both TSG and IBKR also need to purchase live data. Ibkr is kinda like a low cost broker, dirt cheap commisions and margin but everything else is alacarte. For the 2nd question, meaning either the people direct register ibkr or we go through whitelabel tsg we purchase in delayed quote ?which website is the best for live if trade US market? If you're unsure which to get, check what stock you going to buy. If it's just ETF like SPY can subscribe to ARCA data 1.50/month or if you want everything its 4.50/month +options(OPRA) 1.5/month eddie2020 liked this post
